So one of my friends bought the Halo G6 starter kit and I was pretty impressed. When I picked it up I expected something plastic and lightweight. Instead I got a solidly built battery that vaped incredibly well for its size. I'm now considering adding one to my repertoire of vape toys along with the Provari I'm saving for.

What experience have you all had with Halo?

I order juice from Halo all the time and I have never had a problem with an order. I have never used their hardware, but I believe the G6 is the same as the Volt which seems to be a well regarded 808 style battery, from what I have read. They are based in New Jersey I believe and they run a very solid professional operation in my opinion. I like their juices because they are complex, but taste is subjective and although Prime15 and Tribeca are my favorite 2 juices, some of their juices have an underlying flavor that I don't care for myself but I have seen praised by others. They have quite an extensive offering of Menthol flavors but I am not a Menthol person, though I do want to revisit Tiki at some time as it was very interesting as a flavor. Hope this helps.

After three weeks of using the G6's I can vouch for them. One battery will last me a whole day and they are small and portable which is important for work. I can refill the cartos 6-7 times so it's been a great investment for me so far. I used to smoke Marlboro Reds and have no problem with the amount of vapour they produce. I actually wonder why anyone would want to use anything bigger, especially in public.

I've been using the Halo G6 since it was first released and I haven't had many problems with them. As long as the batts are cared for properly (cleaning them) they shouldn't give you any problems. I don't care much for the auto batts but the manuals are great in terms of vapor production.

I don't think I will need larger batts but they are currently working on a new tank system and I know I'll give it a shot. It seems like whatever Volt does, Halo follows but then again Halo is a juice company first and foremost.

I have some pretty extensive experience with the G6, both auto and manual batteries.

I like them - I like them a lot. Chainsaw is right on the money -- provided you maintain the batteries, cartos and charger vis a vis keeping them clean, they'll last you a good long while and perform admirably throughout their entire lifespans.

If you're considering dropping money on a G6 starter kit, I advise the manual battery and a pack of low-resistance cartos to get the optimum vaping experience -- that's not to say that auto batteries mated to SR cartos are subpar; merely that the manual battery/LR carto pairing is just naturally going to be even better.

i bought a G6 starter with two autos (shorty and reg). They've been working just fine. The feel of the battery is much nicer than the V2 slippery batteries. The reg i get about a days worth while the shorty gets a few hours. I like the shorty cuz i can carry it around everywhere. Right now their mini tanks are sold out but you can also use e-smart or kanger T4 mini tanks :) they fit just fine. The carts are too airy for me but they do last for awhile.

the triton kit looks very nice, and a big plus because the kit will fit the G6 accessories

I'm a fan. I just picked up a 2nd starter kit as a backup - great value.

I use the shorties and think the cartomizers are pretty decent quality so far as those go.

I cannot recommend the mini-tanks - bought a couple and won't use them since they smell like glue and you can see where they were sloppily glued and e-liquid will mix with the glue which is a huge no-no in my book.

I've only bought two mini tanks, but neither had any glue like smell. One lasted a few weeks, but then quit firing. The other is over a month old and working great. I did clean it a few times, with no issues.

Just got a starter kit, a sampler pack, some LR cartos and a cig case for a friend. The package looks like a great starter kit, can't wait to try it.

I see that you've got a lot of replies here but I can throw my 2 cents in. I just recent bought my first rechargeable ecig after using plenty of disposables and a few horrible standard kits that you could charge. I went with the halo batters based on what I found on the internet and I couldn't be more happy. Though I didn't decide to go with the starter kit because halo sells a 420 mah g6 battery but it is only available in black and only with a manual button both of which I wanted. my cigarettes are a bit on the longer side at around 140 mm when assembled but I don't mind that at all. As far as the product itself I used the regular halo cartos with their juice and even vape it with te3 clearomisers from volt using their niquid and I absolutely love both. I don't have too much experience with other models but from what I've seen Im extremely happy with my purchase from halo. I loved with Tribeca so much I ordered a second 30 ml bottle the second day with slightly less nicotine then my first order. I can't wait to get my hands on the VV triton model when It comes out on their website. They definitely make quality products and I want my first mod be simple and work. both of which halo's products hold to their standard. Especially because the g6 charger and cartos are compatible except for the usb portion of the charger. good luck brah -panoz

Wow, I wasn't even aware that they had that XL battery. Halo, if you're reading this, XL batteries in all of your colors, please.

I've had my G6 kit for 6 days now and couldn't be happier. I've been mostly using LR carts, but have two of the mini tanks in the mail, hopefully here later on this morning.

Finally got my mini tanks in the mail, and loving them. Don't see or smell any glue as some have reported. Had a question though. Someone mentioned proper cleaning of the batteries, etc. can anyone share what methods you use to make sure your starter kit stays clean and maintained?

I'm not sure if its ok, but I've been using lens cleaner wipes for the battery connector. Anyone ever go to Walmart and see those white and blue boxes of Zeiss lens cleaning wipes? That's what I use. They're marketed for camera lenses, eyeglasses, etc. they also work great on cell phones, too. Pretty sure they've got isopropyl alcohol as the main ingredient.

Not sure if you've bought your g6 yet or decided against it but I can 100% vouch halo products. I started with 2 of their xl g6 batteries ( 420 mah and no 5 second cut off like the rest) and I quit smoking cigarettes with these. they worked like nothing I had ever used before. After 3 weeks i ordered another g6 battery in the standard automatic size( for driving) and it vapes just about as well but not quite as strong. The xl battery could literally last me all day and vape about 3ml or more easily. Fell in love with vaping with halo that i ordered Their VV triton and a few different res. coils(a beast for 30$ pricetag). I don't have a volt reader but i would say that the xl g6 battery probably hits 4v when fully charged if not a little more. And as far as carto's go I've used about 5 or 6 different cartos and 2 clearos and and the halo mini tanks are amazing. at the moment with tribeca i still can't find the "perfect spot" on my triton that tastes as perfect as on my g6. Anyways sorry for the rant but I just dig halo and their juice. Good luck -Panoz
