That's been my only complaint about the G6 batteries so far. I expect a short charge life from a small battery, but the vapor production falls off before the battery blinks to indicate a low charge. It's gradual so I don't always notice it until I switch to a fresh battery and... whoah! There's the vapor!

The Volt batteries cost the same so I'd like to try one next time. It should be compatible with the G6 charger, yes?

I'm not sure. I know they usually say not to use a charger from another brand. I'm quite paranoid when it comes to charging these batteries, so I've always stuck with the charger for Volt when charging a Volt and such.

I have a G6 USB charger here and the specs printed on it are:
Input: 5VDC, 500mA
Output: 5VDC, 150mA

The specs for the Volt USB charger at Smokeless Image | The Best Electronic Cigarette are the same. If both chargers have the same threading and polarity - which I assume to be the case if G6 and Volt batteries are both 808D-1 types - they should be interchangeable.

Smokeless Image | The Best Electronic Cigarette

Replaceable 1000mAh battery with 300 charging cycles
Output 5v
Input USB (5v)
65mm width x 15mm height x 115mm length
65mm battery charging time 2 hours
78mm battery charging time 3 hours
Case charging time 3-4 hours
USB cord connection

Looks like the same product as: Portable Charger Case (PCC) | G6 Electronic Cigarette | Halo Cigs

PCC Capacity: 1000 mah
PCC Input Voltage: USB (5v)
PCC Output Voltage: 5 volts

Edit: or did you mean the wall or USB charger?

Thank you for taking the time to help out, I appreciate that! :)

Just to report back, I did get the Volt battery. They only difference I noticed between the Volt and the G6 is, the Volt had a slightly tighter draw. Possibly because its sealed? I said in my first post in this thread that I believed they are very similar, and that's still my opinion. I was a little disappointed that Volt doesn't have an extra long battery available. What I'm using from Halo is the XL G6, available only in black. But it's a 102mm, 420mah. So it will last longer before needing a charge than either the Volt, or G6 78mm, 280mah batteries.

i cut my eye teeth on v2's so they have a special place in my heart.

that being said they are pricey when bought locally.a little less off the net.
have 3 batts and have been refilling the carts.
works great for a 40+ year 2 pack a day smoker.
got a couple of generic 501 bats and tanks and i'm checkining them out now.
i like them alot but allready a problem with one of the batts.

go with what you have too.you'll find your way.
regards

I took me forever, and a lot of research, to figure out which of the three to buy. I finally settled on the Halo G6, which came yesterday. I am very pleased with the quality of the components. The amount of vapor produced is impressive, and the Tribeca flavor is pretty good. I also got a pack of blank carts and a juice sampler, so I can explore different flavors. As it happens, the Halo starter kit and the comparable Volt kit cost exactly the same right now. Good luck!

Halo G6

I'm looking to get one of these 3 Starter Kits. Since they appear to be "similar" I'm thinking that, like printers, replacement cartridge prices may be a major factor "in the long run."

In checking their sites for cartridge cost I find V2 $1.50 each ($1.35 each with Vapegrl coupon code), SI Volt $1.79 each and Halo G6 $2.00 each. So I'm leaning towards scoring the V2.

Or am I missing something here?

There is an ongoing coupon code floating around for SI that is 15% off.

I finally ended up purchasing the V2 for 2 reasons:

1. It has the cheapest replacement cartridges...$1.50 each vs. $1.79 SI Volt and $2.00 Halo G6.

2. The V2 uses a 4.2 Volt battery which purportedly gives one a better (more voluminous) vape than the SI Volt's 3.6 V or Halo G6's 3.7 V.

The V2 battery is unregulated, its starts at 4.2 and consistently drops until it runs out of charge around 3.2v. More charge equals hotter vape. The volt is regulated stays at 3.7v for most of the charge. Halo used to be unregulated but not sure now. Nothing wrong with either approach.
