I placed my first Halo order yesterday (Freedom) based on all the great reviews on this forum. Can't wait to get it, hoping it might be my 'all day vape'.

Sooo... would I be correct in saying that their Freedom juice smells and tastes like perfume??? There is absolutely no smell or taste of tobacco! Maybe I'm the only one whose gone crazy...? It's also kinda creepy cuz it's so smooth, really almost too smooth. I don't know, I saw the ingredients somewhere and there was 1-2 of those letter number combos which I'm guessing you'd have to know your periodic tables from Chem class to be able to come up with a palatable mixture.

It reminded me of vanilla with a hint of Redman tobacco. I've never chewed Redman but I did try it when I was a kid and thought it had a sweet taste to it.

I'm finding it very cedar-y, but I just started using it today...not sure I like it yet.

Edit: Just put 2 drops of Halo 'Cool' in my cart....cedar taste gone ! Liking it better.

Menthol Ice Best menthol I have tried so far. And i have tried about 7 different menthol flavors. The smoothness of it is amazing and the vapor you get 8-o8-o8-o. My coworker was like HAY no smoking then I turned around and hit some again and he was like OMG. If I only saw from the back looks like real smoke with all that vapor. I was like

I am starting to feel the same way about Halo. I can't use the Harley or the Freedom straight anymore. The Harley has a little tobacco feel but both are perfumy and feel as if they are coating my throat and mouth. I started mixing them with other flavors but.... Regardless, good throat hit and massive vapor.

Freedom Juice, 24mg
510 atty at 3.7V: medium tobacco taste with a hint of cedar.
510 atty at 5V: just undistinguished tobacco, cedar disappeared.
KR808 at 5V: wow, that's cedar alright!

Mixes well with clove/tobacco.

Newpure, 24mg
Tornado, 510 atty at 3.7V: very smooth menthol, creamy almost, with a touch of vanilla on the exhale. I don't care much for menthol but I bought 6ml of this from the Tornado owner. Nice.

I REALLY want to try the Freedom in 12mg, but don't want to throw down on a 30ml bottle until I try it. Anyone know when they're getting a smaller size in?

Well, y'all have convinced me to take the Halo plunge. It didn't work for me with Nestea, but then I hate iced tea.

I am desperately searching for a juice that will make me not miss analogs. I have yet to find that after trying a few different types. However, after trying my wife's Halo Menthol Ice, I was very impressed with the amount of vapor and smoothness. I could blow it through my nose and get the feel of smoke. I could even blow "smoke rings"

So, I decided to come on here and see what everyone else thought. It sounds like a winner to me. I got the Smooth-8 (24mg) and the NewPure (18mg). I will let you how it goes.

just orderd some freedom juice, i have tried ALOT of different juices, (not really a menthol fan though) (except for Johnsons creek arctic menthol at 18mg, 11mg sucks,)
My favorite juices to date have got to be Vapor talks Exotic Tobacco at 24mgs
And Johnsons creek black cherry at 11mg, (better taste at 11 vs 18)
Excited to see what i get out of HALO's juice
the concept sounds AWESOME!!!!

The whole 'it tastes like cedar' kinda disturbs me a bit (from above reviews). I can't stand cedar tastes, I don't mind a slightly strong tobacco taste if its a bit sweet but not if its cedar-like.
FYI I started smoking on menthols many years ago when the habit bit, but after I moved to regular marlboro cigs I couldn't bear the menthols ever again so I dont think the menthol/mint vapes are for me.
I love my sweet vapes that I have a lot of already but I wanted something thats more tobacco to have with my coffee (I find coffee or sweet foods kill the vape tastes I have now).
Your thoughts good people of ECF?

You might be correct in saying it tastes and smells like perfume...to you. I ordered the Straight 8 precisely because it says on the website..."do not order this if your a first timer"...so of course I did. Got it,tried it...thought, hmmmm taste and smells kinda like perfume. But soon realized that the more I vaped it the more I liked it. Now I can't live without it. I like some strange stuff but this is what I come back to everytime I want that first hit "aahhhhhh" feeling.

As for Chem class ingredients....those "letter number combos" the EXACT SAME ingredients in EVERY juice you use...they are the artificle and natural flavors listed on other labels. FDA does not require the listing of chemical compounds...only the terms "artifical and/or natural flavors". And sorry to say...if you DIY your getting exactly the same stuff when you buy flavor drops.

Don't know what juice you have been using but as for smoothness goes....when you see the term "throat hit" feel free to substitute the words "mucosal irritation"....because that is what TH is. Irritation. The fact that Halo is USP grade all the way with USA sourced USP nicotine is probably the reason for it's smoothness.

Just because it's different doesn't mean it's bad.


ps...no I don't work for them. FYI I've been waiting weeks for my order as well. Don't care....love Halo....it will be worth it.

I received Halo's Smooth 8 in 24mg a couple days ago and I'm enjoying the combination of mild tobacco and ginger. The ginger is mild and not peppery.
High voltage seems to destroy much of the ginger taste. Tastes best in a regular 510.


...I wanted something thats more tobacco to have with my coffee...

Spiced Tobacco
4.0ml 75% PG / 25% VG base
8 drops FlavourArt Virginia (can substitute Cuban Supreme)
3 drops FlavourArt Clove
2 drops FlavourArt Cinnamon

Takes a few days to develop its full taste.

It all rocks JBlaze just sent me the first bottle of the fusion unflavored 36MG it has one heck of a throat hit and is a very very clean Nic, also recieved my reorder of ICE,KOOL,NUPURE this week with the unflavored fusion, its all very very good stuff, taste buds are very subjective but anything Halo makes in a menthol seems to be my daily Vape these days

CaptJay....Freedom...at least to me....is a milder, less complex flavor. It is mildly spicy but, and again, just my own perception, there is no overwhelming specific spice or flavor I can identify. But does it taste like a cigarette? No. Is it really,really good with a clean clear taste, no bitterness,good vapor and throat hit ? Yes

But that is the opinion of a cook who loves to use rosewater and orange flowers...

Now my husband....Red Bull and RY4 all the way....and he loves Freedom.

I personally have not tried TV's tobacco so I cannot say what it tastes like. But I do tend to favor juices that are clearer and made from USP grade nicotine since I really don't know anything about the safety of vaping actually tobacco juice, which is what TV is made from.

I've ordered TV Tobacco three times and each time it's been at least slightly different. The first bottle had a smooth pipe tobacco taste. Bottle #2 had a distinct cinnamon note, as if some Atomic Fireball had been added. Bottle #3 was dull in comparison.

Have you tried My Freedom Smokes, in NC? They have a good range of tobaccos and I found the Dunhill quite tasty.

Well, the cedar aroma & taste of Halo Freedom was overwhelming for me. It was so overwhelming, I never could detect any other flavor in it; no vanilla, no tobacco, just pure cedar. It almost felt toxic. As I stated in another thread, I let a week go by while I vaped other juices, then tried it again, with the same result. Luckily, my husband did eventually acquire a taste for it, otherwise it would have been a total waste of money for me. (For reference, I use a regular 510, he uses a 401). It did, however, have the best vapor production of any juice I've tried.

I'm also having an issue with my TV Tobacco. There is a distinctly chemical taste to it. Again, no tobacco flavor to speak of, just...something foul, that everytime I try it again, I get the feeling that I'm vaping something akin to insecticide. Gross ! I've given it to the hubby to try, hoping maybe it's just me.
