I've read some posts that it is very easy to re-wick the triton coils, and very cheap. Anyone that has done this, advice?

1) read that I need 2mm silica, is the ekowool brand I see on ebay any good? And is 2mm the outside dimension?
2) some of the silica auctions come with kenthal wire....does that work better for threading thru than tape that I've heard mentioned before? (Not sure what type of tape it was)
3) those that have done it, heard that the coils themselves will last for months, is that true?

I'm not ultra cheap, but if I can save a few bucks and it's not that hard, might as well do it. Thanks everyone for being so nice off the bat, I'm 9 days into the vaping world and I've already received a ton of great support and advice!

Teflon plumbing tape to get the silica through the coil. It can be found at almost any hardware store that has plumbing stuff. The silica wick would be 2mm and can be found online for cheap.

I did rewick a few and going to try again soon. I did try regular scotch tape and, um, ya...it didn't work. What's so big about Teflon? Iz confused.

Teflon tape is very very thin, has very low friction (wont snag easily) and is so soft plaible that you can use to nicely form bullet like head to rethread the wick through the coil. It does not have any adhesive on it.

Yeah... the term "tape" when talking about Teflon Tape is a bit misleading for those that dont know, because they are thinking of tape in the adhesive sense. Teflon tape is used in plumbing to go in the threads of pipes, to form a seal in between the threads, so it is very thin, very malleable and smooth.

I fail at teflon tape too...I've never been successful using it for threading any wicks, so I must be doing something wrong!

UH OH? Seriously????? And you're better at this stuff than me. UGH! I'm still gonna grab some Teflon even tho I was at Menards today and forgot.

But hey, that rake, grass seed and new extension for my garden hose may come in handing for rewicking a coil.

Make a video of you applying and trying to rethread the wick, post it to youtube, post it here, I am sure someone will be more than happy to give you pointers.
