yep been a regular thing for years. totallywickedeliquid did it with ego batts, the KR808-D batts, and the screwdriver, before renaming even more mods. uhhh, that big banner above the forum? Volcanoecigs has been re-naming the KR808-D batts, ego batteries, and mods, for YEARS now. They claim to have a tight relationship with manufacturers in china. this allowed them to "design" the original lavatube and the original lambo. L-Rider and Young June were two companies manufacturing almost the exact same mod (with the exact same name) and Volcano touted that theirs was the 1st and the best. LRider and YoungJune just took their name.... Many US and European companies steal chinese made mods, rebrand them, call them their own. Many chinese companies have stolen US and European designed mods (either made in the US/Europe OR China) and call them their own. Been a regular thing for 5+ yeaaars now. Look at the Volt & the Bloog Max Fushion Cig-alikes. These two cig-alikes were the two most popular cig-alikes EVER, in the US. They made millions no doubt. They were just rebranded 808D batteries that just so happened to give a regulated 4.2 volts, which was revolutionary 4 the time... $60-80 bucks for them damn things. meanwhile, you could buy an unbranded 2 battery 808-D kit for 25 bucks. So don't blame the chinese for cloning. The US may not have the manufacturing industry network to put out cheaper clones of Chinese made mods (LOL) but we do take Chinese made devices, give them a name, and charge 120% more for them.
