HALO Triton - not much vapor after wash

Hi All,

I recently got my Halo starter kit with the variety pack of ejuice to taste some flavours.. i loaded 2 flavours into 2 seperate tanks to try. Turkish Tobacco and Malibu.. YUMMY and awesome Vapor production compared to my V2 ecig. After a bit of a try i washed the tanks out to try the other flavours. watched a tutorial on youtube, dismantle, wash in warm water and rinse. let it dry overnight. when i loaded them up with 2 new juices (kringals curse and subzero) the vapor production was greatly less.. could i have ruined the coils somehow buy washing them.. i put Belgium Cocoa in another tanks i hadn't washed and it vaped really well.. i emptied and washed the tanks again and reloaded them with the juices i tried first with the same result, not as much vapor as when i 1st tried.. Batterys are fully charged, and the contacts are clean.. should i put new coils in and start again?

Am i missing something?? Please help..

Regards

Harry

What the post above said. If the internal wick isn't completely dry water, by itself, doesn't produce much vapor.

So just keep vaping on it and see if the vapor production increases. If not Halo sells replacement coils for the Triton tanks.

I suggest you get some anyway as eventually the ones you now have will get clogged. It is the nature of vaping.

The problem you are describing may be simply be that the wicks didn't dry completely. If that is the case and you vape a little while the flavor and vapor production will pick up.

cheers,

i puffed on it today put 1/2 a tank thru with no improvement so i will just change the coils when i get home.. Im not home for 2 weeks so i will just keep running the tank that works for now.. be interesting when i run out of belguim cocoa, will just top up with Malibu, see how that goes..

Got any tips for good Vaping/tasting ejuices, there are so many on the market..

Thanks again

Did you dry burn the coils? I have found that washing without dry burning can sometimes cause the coils to gunk up more than they would have unwashed.

Dry burn burns off the gunk at the risk of gunking up wicks. But dry burn followed by washing should extend the productive life of the coils by a few days.

Oh and dry burning is pulsing the coil head on a battery repeatedly until it stops smoking and burns red. I think if you do it while the wick is still wet after a rinse it will save the wick from getting charred/gunked up with the stuff burning off. Blow on it gently to keep the char out of the assembly.
