The day after I had to leave a voice mail reporting my bad battery issue, since they were closed (on a weekday?), Halo called me back. I explained the issue with one of the batteries I received being DOA and not being rechargable, though my other Triton batteries charge and work just fine. Despite that, they still thought maybe I screwed up by using the wrong USB charger or something like that. After awhile, I finally convinced them to take the battery back for replacement. So, yes, unfortunately, I had to ship the one bad battery back at my expense, along with my order number and a written request for an exchange.
If you look up your old e-mails (check your deleted ones as well), you should be able to find your Halo order number. If that doesn't work, just login to your Halo account at their web site and you can look up your recent orders, including the applicable order number. That's not really much of a hassle, but having to send the defective gear back is, especially at your own expense. Admittedly though, the cost was only a few dollars, so the time to go to the Post Office and back was more of an issue. (Time is money, right?) I assume I will eventually get a replacement battery, though it may take a week or two. That leaves me short one additional working battery I had intended to have as part of my rotation setup. Luckily I am getting by without it for now. It was primarily meant as a backup for particularly heavy vaping days, etc.
This has been kind of unusual for me. With any other vendor I've dealt with, if I received a defective product (or sometimes the wrong product) the company would just send out a replacement right away. In addition, they would also often send me a little something extra as a way of saying, "Sorry for the trouble." Until those vendors stopped selling what I needed, I kept with them because I appreciate that level of customer service. I'm not out to get a free battery or anything else from any of these e-cigarette suppliers, so Halo's attitude kind of surprised and disappointed me. I can't say it is the best level of customer service. Halo questioning my ability to use their own chargers I just bought from them, to charge their own batteries I just bought from them - that was just annoying.
I was almost mad enough to just throw the towel in on Halo and tell them I was sending everything back for a within 30-day (or is it 60-day?) customer dissatisfaction refund. But I like the equipment they sent me that does work, so I intend to keep using it until it all eventually dies on me. Shortly before that happens, I don't know if I will be ordering from Halo again or not. I may try out Smokeless Image and their Volt or X2 gear, or I may go a completely different route. I may even just go back to using ECHO batteries and buy different, higher quality Crystal Vision cartomizers from NHALER, or possibly some similar supplier for those batteries.
Of course, most Halo customers I have heard from do not normally get defective equipment from Halo. This experience of mine, at least as regards receiving a defective part, could have happened with any vendor. The difference being that Halo's response to my issue was less than fully satisfactory compared to the more positive, immediate problem resolving experiences I've had elsewhere. So that is a check mark against them, but their equipment I have that is working is working very well, so far.
These Triton 400mah batteries easily last for hours (3-4) of heavy vaping, then only take about 1.5 hours or so to recharge. The Triton clearomizer tanks I have are still going strong after more than a week. I rinsed out the first one I started using awhile back, let it dry out overnight after a soak in Isopropyl Alcohol, then refilled it without changing out the atomizer. At first the e-liquid flavor and vapor was a bit muted, but it came back strong after awhile. I've yet to use any of my Triton replacement coil assemblies, but I'm glad I have them. I've had absolutely no leak issues with these tanks at all. They don't require much "fiddling" either. I've never had clearomizers that were as trouble free as these ones are, but I haven't tried all that many either.
