I thought I was doing good by buying the Halo Triton for my dad, but he keeps having issues with not enough vapor or none at all. I figure you would just fill it and it would work... fill again when it runs out. The Halo stuff seems a bit more expensive, nothing else works with which I just found out and have no idea if it is working fine or could be better. I just bought 2 new triton 900 batteries and coils for like $55. I talked to Halo and I can return with refund.... He uses all VG ejuice that he likes which is thin. The PG made him cough to much... The local vape shop we bought the VG from used basic everything and got good vape.

Should I start all over with a new system or continue with the Halo Triton products? My dad would want something basic that works!!

Trying to get him to quit smoking is hard work... maybe I'll just buy him a carton of smokes!! Problem solved! HAAA...

Thanks
Wayne

Wayne, Vaping is not like smoking--there is a learning curve. You can't just fill it up and vape and refill again. You need to know a bit about how those things work, how to maintain them, how to clean coils (or when to replace them) etc. None of this is rocket science, but you have to spend some time learning.

Triton is decent setup and I have a feeling that there is user error or inexperience involved. Maybe it would help if and you dad watched a YouTube video or two to learn some basics. You can stay with Triton or switch to 510 threaded batteries--you'll have many more choices of hardware--battereis and toppers.

There are many options in the wonderful world of 510 connection--depending on price and technological advancements:

1) eGo-class batteries, similar to what you have now. I'd recommend a variable voltage battery, like eGo-C Twist, Vision Spinner, Kanger eVod etc.

2) MVP2 (box shaped, 2600 mAh, ohms reader, vv/vw, works as a passthrough) or its little sister the Innokin VV V3 (only 700 mAh but otherwise identical to the MVP). If your dad doesn't mind a box shaped battery, that's what I would recommend.

Toppers: I prefer Kangers BCC or BDC clearomizers--they are inexpensive, the coils are easy to clean and dry burn. Look at T3S or eVod--basic single coil clearos. If you want a dual-coil Kanger topper, get an Aerotank--they come in different sizes, I like the mini and regular V1.

Good luck!
