I use the Wallgreens house brand of denture cleaner. It's designed to work with plastic and works for me. Make sure you remove the platic cover at the end of the atamiser/wick thingy as per the video. That's a trap for old juice smells and is plastic along with the tank and tip.
Empty tank and remove wick thingy and remove plastic wick cover cap. Very quick wash of all parts and wick in hot water swirling the water inside the tank.
Plop plop in the denture cleaner which is a tablet with warm or hot water. It's already dissolved in a platic container. Drop all the parts into the solution. They sit for about 15 minutes till the water reaches room temp. Pull out and quick wash and let dry for a couple of hours. Way faster than the great video.
