I just received a used Hana dna 30 and kayfun (both clones) today. I have never made a coil before but I have done a good bit of electronics work before so I have a really good understanding of it. I have also looked at a bunch of videos and read a bunch of stuff about it so I think I have a pretty good idea.

I just made my first coil on it. I actually think it looks pretty damn good, especially for being my first time. I don't have an atomizer checker but I do have a really good multimeter. I check the resistance between the two posts and it is 1.2 ohms and I even checked it between the 510 threads and the screw in the middle on the bottom and that read 1.3. I put it on my Hana and it just keeps saying check atomizer. I have checked all of my connections and the resistence multiple times and can't find any problems anywhere.

Any suggestions on what could possibly be wrong?

I'm at a complete loss and really want to try the damn thing out!

If you are referring to the positive terminal for your coil. No that is not normal. The screw that is the 510 center pin threads into the air tube/positive terminal tube on a Kayfun 3.1. What model KF are you using?
Sounds like the center pin on the Hana is pushed down. Try using a small screw driver to lift the center pin just a little.

I was able to get it working last night by loosening the screw quite a bit but then whenever I would fill the tank it would stop working again. I wasted so much juice last night trying to get it to work. If it wasn't full it would work so I just treated it like a overly complicated dripper. It worked to get me through the night but I won't be doing that anymore.

I tried to get the center post of the mod up but there was nothing I could grab it with and I couldn't get anything under it to try to pry it up. I have just messaged the seller, hopefully it is just something I am doing wrong or a really simple fix.
