Wow wow wow, I have been a provari guy for ages and love my setup using a KFL+.

Just managed to get hold of a hana modz v3. What can I say. Been vaping this with my kayfun for 2 weeks and it's amazing. I cannot get over how well it performs and how much deference the device makes to the overall experience.

Just to say, my trusty provari is now the backup!!!

Ok, let's get this straight before I start a war!! I love my provari and researched it well pria to my purchase, when I received it I thought I would never need anything else, but as you start to play with building coils etc I found the limitations of the device and started to get really unhappy with it.

The hana is handling everything I through at it. If I build a 1.1 ohm coil and fit it to the hana and compare to the provari, the hana supplies a better, smoother more satisfying vape.

I guess the provari is me reliable, it's like a Volvo!! Every say it will start and won't mis a beat!! The hana is like any Italian super car!!do think that there will be some reliability issues down the road, but I am so happy with the device I would just simply get another one and have my provari as the emergency back up.

If you decide on a provari, just have get the mini.

If you want the hana get the full size so you can change the battery your self if any problems occur down the line.

Congrats on finding your ultimate vape tool Jez :). I have neither, but I know from reading reviews they are both extremely capable machines. I still remember how I felt when I found my vape nirvana ;).

Thanks! No war from me. I don't own either. I'm in the exploring stage. I'll probably never sub-ohm as I prefer a cooler vape. I have some mech mods and an MVP. However, would like to get another box style mod - mainly due to neurological limitations with my fingers/hands.

A bit OT Susan, but I wanted to comment. Vape temperature does not depend on coil resistance. It's much more a product of overall setup.

I wouldn't get rid of either, myself. Both are excellent devices.

And on reliability, I've had excellent luck with both. My Provaris are all around 2 years old, and I purchased two Hana (v1's) exactly one year ago RIGHT NOW. My son has the 2nd one and both are still going strong.

Ryedan, could you please expand on that? As I have limited personal experience in coil building (I only have a Taifun GS) so most of my atomizers are stock coils on Protanks & Aspire Nautilus. The two variables I've noticed affecting the temperature of my vape are

1. Coil resistance (1.5 vs 2.5) and
2. Airflow (3 itty bitty holes on Protank 2 v2 vs 1 larger hole on the Aspire Nautilus)

Airflow seems to play a larger role. But again, I have limited first-hand experience in evaluating that. Tell me more if you could!:)

I don't know that I agree with this. Technically, you're correct, but in a real world setting, at normal voltage ranges of 3.5 to 4ish, a .7 ohm coil is pushing around 20 watts. That's a pretty warm vape no matter how you get there.

Novamatt - would a RDA like one of the IGO's (with six holes open running dual coils) make a huge difference in vape temperature in your example above? How much difference does a long drip tip make?

I've been looking hard at Hana, but they're not easy to find. I'm really not liking that aspect of vaping. The difficulty of finding items that are in stock. There are so many things I'd love to have a genuine version of, but aside from Provari I've had to settle for clones most of the time. Just started really looking in the classies here, and while I'd prefer to get new things, I may have to start buying up used things if I really want something genuine.

By today's standards, the Provari isn't an extremely capable machine, it's quite limited. That's just fact. But it is still one of the best quality devices out there and probably the best quality-for-buck available.

Tinkie - I am in the uk and ordered a hana from a uk supplier, it arrived within 2 weeks.

I truly believe that there is nothing wrong with cloned items often you are getting the same kit, what you need to remember is companies such as hana or kayfun etc have to reimburse them selves not only for the cost of manufacturing the item but also for the development of the product gene the price.

Correct, and then 6 months down the line you find that it may not be what you wanted and end up wishing you had just ordered the hana in the first place!! I got the hana cause I wanted a DNA 30 device and liked the look of this device, there are plenty of other DNA devices out there which are more available and will perform the same. Provari are great but they just don't cut the mustard in today's performance standards.

That depends on what a person is looking for. For my (relatively low wattage) tastes, the Provari offers one of the two smoothest vapes I can get. The DNA's are nice, but don't compare. Again, I'm low wattage and very likely staying here. I've been enjoying it for much too long to have any interest in changing it.

Let others race, if they wish.
