hey guys,
I'm looking for an alternative for my backup pens. I've got a couple box mods (Hana dna40, sig 150w) and a few pens(2x evod and a evod mega) however I'm looking at getting a tube that can handle my kayfuns as a more portable option. I've been looking at the provari 2.5 in particular due to the safety of the chip however I'm more than open to suggestions. Thanks

how do you like to vape? if you like your kayfuns at around 1-1.5 ohms (or higher) and don't really go over 15 watts, provari 2.5 is a great choice. it will last you literally almost forever.

couple downsides - i'm not sure how big you expect it to be, but it's big in comparison to your pens. also, this is just personal preference, but i've never cared for the menu (although i like it a lot more than the p3 menu...).

Well, the size is definitely a downfall but not a huge concern as I've been walking around with x2 18650 box mods for a couple months. I've got sub ohm setups but those will be left at home because let's be real, it's not a good look if someone dislikes vapes and you blow a cigarettes worth of smoke in one draw near them. I vape anything from .2ohms -1.5. I don't plan on ever going sub ohm on this build and will most likely run 1 ohm twisteds. Likely won't hit over 20w for this device. Any other products I should investigate?
Edit: this will be mouth to lunged and mainly in replacement for a cigarette haul, not like a water pipe hit the cloud builds give

My favorite hardware combination is an iTaste 134 mini (with a 18350 battery in it, and the 'beauty ring' removed) and a V-Spot eGo threaded clearo. I don't know or care how much the 134 mini costs, I won it in a contest so it cost me $0, so I haven't payed attention to the price at the manufacturers (Innokin) site, or compared the price elsewhere. I think it's in the $85 range..

My second combo is an X7 VV eGo/510 battery (1600 mAh) and the V-Spot clearo. I have to use a 510/eGo thread adapter as an 'eGo thread extender' because both the battery and the clearo have 'wells'.

it's difficult to compare anything to a provari/kayfun combo. as long as you're okay with the menu and the power limitations of the provari, you've pretty much got all you need to have the perfect vape all the time. the accuracy and ruggedness of the provari is well documented, as is the performance of the kayfun.

if you need more proof, ask around. i guarantee that there's still a very large number of vapers out there who have all the new shinies, but still use this combo as their daily driver.

actually, now that i mentioned it, that's what this combo is good for - a daily driver. it's not going to win any cloud competitions, and it's not going to impress anyone with it's flashiness, but it will work as advertised day after day and year after year.

For the money, a (MINI) ProVari 2.5 can't be beat. pretty small in 18350 mode...
    I agree. :thumb:

Over 3 years vaping, I've got at least a dozen mods (mechanical and regulated), and for the most part I keep going back to my Provari's. They are extremely dependable, reliable, as durable as a mechanica modl, are pocket-friendly, and a better vaping experience if you're a standard ohm vaper like I usually am. I use a Kayfun Lite Plus rebuildable tank atomizer on mine.

    Why Provari?

I'm holding a KF4 on a Nemi with the 18350 tube as I type. It's my car mod, at least until the MMV Nanos shows up. But it you want a regulated mod I'd go with the ProVari or the Innokin MVP. (The pic is the same mod, but it's wearing a Fogger.)

    Oohhh..shiny!
I do like that a bit more than the Nemi. :)
So do I :) Shiny she is and, according to my dial caliper, 9.4mm shorter to boot. Really nice design on the adjustable 510 centerpin/overall length for the positive contact, which design I have just stolen for the next time I build a tube mod. Ran me a little crazy until I figured out it was left-hand threaded, but it's all good now...
