Thank ya Bella. I also want to thank you for the package you sent me...arrived yesterday...pretty quick aren't ya lady...lol...

We are having my daughter & her hubby and grandkids over for a bite to eat and playtime.....then we are going out about 7 PM to the Homeless Shelter to help feed the homeless...my job is the juice....Will's job is the Black-eyed Peas. Our best friends are a Doctor and a Nurse and they run the place there with connection to the hospital. It is a cool thing for everyone to do on this day. It is still hard for me to believe our Gov't allows people to sleep in the streets and be hungry.

Thank you Rob.

They sleep on the floor. We provide blankets that have been washed every day. They can use the showers also. This is a shelter and is locked up during the day and opens at 7:30 at night for dinner. I can't count the number of people that had seconds on their food. No Black eyed peas tonight....lol.....chicken, ham, rib tips, collard greens, dressing, macaroni and cheese and pound cake for dessert. The plates were heaping and about half came back for a second heaping plate full.

The Doctor who is awesome and part of our Friday night crowd gives free physicals. Yes, this is truly amazing to me how many people are on the streets and hungry. This is my first time there. Will goes alot. They were short of help on Easter so I volunteered also. I was the server....lol....Lordy my old body was actually moving fast..
Served about 50 people...and my tip was the thank yous and the look on their faces when they received the plate.....my Easter was complete.

Good night everyone. I am exhausted.

Sandy,

Much thanks to provide volunteer work.
I actually (believe it or not) stayed at a shelter for many weeks, among many.
It is a blessing in more than many ways!

Whether poor or jobless. Homelesss or helpless.

I have donated many times thru various ways, but my family will have to give back by this sort of means.
In my local area, there are a few homeless but quite a few about 10 miles in the closest large city. We are gonna give back!

I have been helping the local groups as far as athletic and heath, but putting time and effort into helping true people from starving is the best way to give.
