So my family bought be the best Christmas present, an awesome chance to stop Smoking stinky poison sticks.

They gifted me a decent set up for a noob,
Eleaf 100w and Heracles RTA.
I was hoping for the 100w TC and Heracles 2 but I'm pleased with this set up now that I've managed to learn how not to let the tank flood and leak lol.

I do have a question.
It came with batteries but they are 3.7v /3000mah with no name. There are stickers on each of the brown batteries but only says 18650. 3.7V. 30000MAH.

I've been learning a lot the past couple weeks but wondering not sure if my batteries are ok/safe.

I'm running dual coil 22g kantha 7 or 8 wrap and right now it reads .24ohm resistance (sometimes, .31??)

I keep it around 30-40w which I like except the ramp up time.. When I set it to higher wattage I find the steam is too hot for my preferance.
At 57.1w it hits 3.7v. but that fluctuates... Now that I'm.checking it's 52.7w =3.7v

Also my mod makes a buzzing noise when it fires below 50ish watts.. I've read that it is caused by the circuit board dealing with the regulation... And that it's not uncommon but I've only found a couple of postings here or there so not sure how true that is or if I should take it back to the store.
Anything over the 50 or so watts and there is no buzzing noise.

Accidently I noticed I can run it over 3.7 volts and it seems to work OK. Quite hot but still goes.

Any info or suggestions would be welcome,

I'm happy to say I've had like 3 ciggies since Christmas and looking forward to being smoke free for 2017!!

Hi and welcome! You can take those paper labels off. They're applied on for shipping reasons and do not identify the type of battery it is. It is perfectly safe to use a dual 18650 mod at 50W or even 100W assuming they're good batteries. Here's a list of recommended batteries. Be sure to compare the codes printed directly on the brown wrapper. And congrats on getting off cigs!

Sounds like you have LG HG2 batteries, which are my batteries of choice, so you're good to go there. The buzzing noise I can't help with, I'm not real familiar with that mod.

Congratulations on giving up smoking & making the switch to vaping, trust me you won't look back & you'll probably be thinking why didn't you start sooner, Regarding your question about your set up the battery's look like LG's but not to sure, 22g is a pretty thick wire i would recommend trying a dual 24g 2.5mm 7-8 wraps should come in at around .35 I'm currently using that set up on my obs crius and at around 30w I'm getting a decent vape with good battery life & juice consumption

I've got 3 of those Eleaf 100w TC mods and can't say that any of them make any noise whatsoever so if you can take it back to a shop it was bought from or contact Eleaf about it that may be a good idea.

I took the sticker off and I see that my batteries are LG HG2. I'm glad to see them on the recommended list
I tried reading a couple articles about how to identify counterfeits. Wow.

I'm definitely going to get some higher guage wires soon.
Looking forward to making Claptons then staggered Claptons. My goal is to master alien coils lol.

My mod is not TC. But it is dual 18650 100w (max)
I'll still bring it to the stor see what they say; fingers crossed they can exchange it for me.. though it already got a scratch mark semi-circle from my atty
And prob a bit of juice inside

Here's what I just finished putting together.. can't seem to post a decent picture
32g kanthal Clapton'd around 22g kanthal
Reads .16 ohms on my mod.
Nice and quick ramp up even down around 40w /2.5v

I had just barely enough length for two coils. Next time I'll make it longer to be sure heheheh
