Thanks for taking the time to post up and I'm happy you are liking your Precise! (Shameless Super T promotion to follow) I've found that usually, first time mod buyers don't appreciate the Precise, because they've never owned other mod's and just assume that other mods are made to the same quality standards, when many are not. BTW, i'm into firearms too
Liking, hell. I love it.
I've been eyeing various mods since I started vaping over a year ago. Never bought one because the quality of some were just as they appeared, i.e. something someone made in their garage out of radio shack parts. Others were far too bulky for me. Looked like leftover plumbing supplies. I basically gave up on trying to find the "right one".
Back around the beginning of this year, I was just about to settle on a Screwdriver when the eGo came out. I was disappointed that the battery was fixed internally, but I figured that it was as good as it was going to get.
Since most mods are just housings for larger capacity batteries (except, of course, for the higher voltage ones) I figured that the era of the mod was coming to an end for the most part. I even posted a thread mentioning this thought.
That's when DonDaBoomVape steered me towards his excellent thread on mods. I read through it, generally unimpressed with the various mods. Then I saw your Precise. I was so damn impressed with the craftsmanship that I decided to order one. Best money I've spent on anything e-cig related yet.
I was hopeful, but mildly sceptical, until I recieved it. After taking it apart and examining everything thoroughly, I was extremely impressed. After using it for the last few hours, I can say that my opinion hasn't changed. I realize that the battery life of the 10440 is nowhere near the eGo. It doesn't bother me at all. I'll take quality over quantity any day. It's good to see that the art of fine, precision craftsmanship in America is not as dead as many believe.
