Did you blow the primer(initial lubrication) out of the atomizer first?

If you did, how are you hitting it? It sounds (correct me if I'm wrong) like you are drawing hard (as if you were trying to pull as much smoke from a cigarette as you could)....but with PV's, the draw should be slower and easier(as the atomizer needs to heat up in order to make your vapor) kind of like drinking from a straw.

Did you get the 510 with a manual switch? If so, try pressing your switch down for a second before drawing on it, it might help you get a better/easier draw.

I hear with auto switches, you should use a primer-puff(for the same reason), so if you are using an auto, hit it once real quick to turn the atomizer on, then again slower/deeper to get the draw.

My sometimes get like this. You just need to work with it. Its either got too much eliquid or not enough. Usually new atomizers draw easier then used ones. There is definitely a learning curve to vaping. Sometimes they work good and then other times they don't. Its just part of vaping. Try another atomizer and see if this helps. You have to just keep trying.

One thing I make sure I do now after all this time and all the attys I use is not to let them get too hot.

There is a small plastic disc in the middle of the atty under the bowl that has a hole in the center of it since air comes from threads of the atty through the atty to the coil and out the cart end.

From disassembling used 510 attys, this disk can melt and seal up. Found this on a few of my 510s. No way to fix from what I can figure out.

So what I have done with this atty is to just not let it get too hot. 3 weeks now, atty still has the easy draw of a brand new one.
