Hey all, I started vaping almost a year ago, and fell in love immediately. I started with a basic Joye510 kit, eventually got the PCC, and a bunch of fancy juices. Life was good. Then the Mr. Puffer came out. Changed the whole game. The built in juice bottle and longer battery life was simply amazing. I vaped on that near constantly for months. I had quite a few problems with it though. The cheap plastic case cracked and broke repeatedly, wires came unsoldered; all things I could and did fix myself. Inconvenient, but it was still worth using. I then started a new job... In construction. If my previous usage and handling of my PV's had been hard, the new job was utterly brutal. My MP1 lasted less than 3 days into the job. I basically rebuilt it from the ground up. Worked fine, then it broke as well. I built a custom mod out of a copper pipe, pure mechanical set up, direct feed, pretty cool if I do say so myself. I've had problems with it and am simply too lazy to muck about with it any more though.

So, if my question here, if you actually trudged through all that background, is what PV would you recommend? I need something incredibly tough obviously, crush proof, durable mechanics, dust resistant if possible. I really enjoy the convenience of the "auto feed" built in juice bottle set up. I have all 510 atties, and like them, so I would prefer to stay with those. Finally, I have a couple 14500's and if I can keep using those, cool, if not, whatever, batteries are cheap.

Advance thanks for any help. I'm just tired of having to constantly repair my equipment.

This is an easy one - The REO Mini or REO Grand. The body of this PV is cut from a solid block of aluminum, and the switch to operate the battery is mechanical - no wires. It comes with a 510 adapter and is best when used with an LR510 atty. It is a self feeder that does not require or use either a cart or carto. The Mini has 3ml dispenser bottle & a 14500 battery. The Grand has a 6ml bottle & an 18650 battery. The Mini will keep you vaping your favorite juice for 12 hours or more, while the Grand will provide you with no hassle vaping for 24 hours or more.

I've got a ggts/avs and a reo grand. Both are excellent, all mechanical, mods. The GGTS has a little bit more flexibility, especially in 2nd gen (non self juicing) mode, but I'm leaning towards recommending the Reo. The GGTS requires a bit of weekly maintenance to keep it vaping or it can become temperamental, the Reo requires next to nothing.

Oh, and the Reo (if you can get your hands on one) costs roughly $100 less than the GGTS and AVS.

So many recommendations for the Reo line....you'll never get one...LOL. Currently you have to watch the release dates and F5 the site to death to possibly get an order in (hey, good for Reo...sellin out every batch). Or see if one pops up in the classifieds (ya right!). I've been watching this one for months. Sold out every visit.

I pre-ordered a ProVari from ProVape (official release/ship date is Dec 15th). As far as harsh environment duty goes...unknown. It's too new. *But* I can vouch for the ProVape-1. Lifetime Guarantee...nuff said.

Well then. I read what had been posted and typed up a 3 paragraph summary/response. I then scrolled down to post and saw newer posts had apparently been put up that I missed... lol

So, with the newer info, that aluminum REO Mini looks like the ticket. Pretty much perfect for my needs. I'd only ever seen the wood ones before and that I was concerned they would disintegrate like the plastic mods I've had. No wires is also amazing. I don't know how many times I had to resolder the wires onto the batt connector of my MP cause the glue holding it in the case would come loose and it would get over twisted. Anyway, barring further issues like that... out of curiosity, does anyone know how the battery connector is held into the case on that mod?

from what i've read and seen the reo seems like it might be just what you are looking for. Precise's (all similar in design, just sized for 3 different batteries) from supertmanufacturing.com are stainless steel, all mechanical, lifetime warrantied, workhorses of art. super-t also sells the VapeMate juice feeder. I have a precise, and it is definitely durable. I haven't tried the VapeMate, but a friend has, and he confirmed what I've read on the forums, that it works very well.
just a couple of ideas.

I'll try and get some pictures up of my mod soon-ish. I was going to when I first made it, but ended up with problems so never bothered. Specifically it started flooding the atty to the point of constant leakage... Like, lots of it. I would fill a bottle then have a wet pocket and a half empty bottle within hours. It bottom feeds with a brass tube. The bottle just fits into the copper tube/pipe and is snug with the wire I had to run past it... that part will make more sense when I get some pictures of it on here... so it might be that the bottle is being slightly squeezed? Or just some sort of weird suction out of the bottle automatically? I'm not really sure because it didn't do this at all for the first couple of weeks, then began doing it constantly. Pretty weird and I just couldn't seem to fix it. Frustrated the crap out of me till I gave up on it.

I think I forgot to mention that all this hassle with breaking my PV's on the job and the high levels of dustiness n such forced me to pick up analogs again... sucks...

The reo seems like a golden unicorn at this point. The odds of actually getting one are slim to none. I followed for a couple days but I don't have the time or patience to sit around a pc all day. lol. I'm going to hold out for the Tbox.

Actually Rob has a bunch of REO Minis in production & is posting new ones on his web site almost daily - and the reason they are in such short supply is demand. The things are so damn good - everybody wants one. Here is the link to the REO web site: REO's Mods | Home of the REO PV

+1 - Don't give up, there should be plenty of opportunities to get one.
