Finding the juices you like. Always order the sample size first otherwise you might have a larger bottle that will just sit there. The learning curve is larger, since there are many attachments out there. Tanks, ohms, wattage, vv/vw, atomizer, cartridges, and so forth. Peruse the forum and you'll start to get the hang of it.

Find a few good vendors, give all sorts of flavors a chance. Once you quit smoking you'll find that your taste buds will change. Good luck in your new adventure!

That and you don't have to put it out and relight it. Set it down, do what you have to, pick it up again. It seems much more convenient to me in some ways, harder in others. It's a trade off. Right now the ups to ecigs outweigh the pros to analogs.

That's another reason I chose the eRoll. It just looked so similar. Hoping beating the cravings & a little bit of a "mind game" since it looks so close will get me off analogs for good!

Okay, here's what you can expect with the eroll. I haven't owned one, but it's just a very small version of it's bigger sisters the ego c or t systems with the tank/attys

The cig battery is only 90 mah, so it's not going to last long. Maybe 20 to 30 minutes tops, and that is if you are not chain vaping. If you take a break every hour or so and take only 10 to 15 puffs like you would a cig and then put it back in it's charging case, that may be just fine for you. But, don't expect to be able to sit and chat and have a cuppa while you are vaping away for an hour or so. Not going to happen.

It's also a tank/atty system. The tanks do wear out after a few refills, so you can expect them to start leaking.
The tanks only hold .5 ml of liquid, so you will either need to carry juice to refill or carry extra tanks in a leak proof container.

The atty's may be problematic and go out fairly quickly, so make sure you have extras on hand.

I hope to use it no different than an analog, if I do that it can charge between uses. I did buy a few extra tanks and a 5pk of atty's. Carrying spares concerns me though...Do they leak filled if they aren't attached to the eRoll?

Thanks everyone! I'm watching for the mailman already today!! I did order way too many juices (not all coming today). Today Mt Vapor Baker's will arrive along with my kit, spare tanks, atty's & 2 cone's and a spare battery so that I have 3 eRoll's ready to use! (found that tip in the eRoll thread)

I'll be waiting on vape mail from Heather's Heavenly & Vaporgod who both sent shipping conformations today so those should be here in a few days. All juices were ordered in small bottles & I did nic levels from 24 down to 0. I went a little crazy there to have all levels to try & see what works:D Flavors are going to be a whole different world of problems (fun problem!!!!) I'm guessing what tastes great now might taste awful once my taste buds start waking up from quitting analogs.

I'm going to give myself a few days to get to know my new friend before I stop buying my analogs though. Bad or good idea?

They don't leak. There's an end cap that keeps them from it. Hope it works for you. Sure like mine.

I've been vaping for two years, and for me, the most challenging thing about vaping is two-fold: maintaining your orders, and maintaining a reliable set-up. However, once you find what works for you, you'll find that an ongoing problem is cutting it too close between orders. Order extra juice and cartos/clearos/tanks so you won't be sitting there checking your tracking number every five minutes... when you just placed the order an hour ago! Also, have some backup hardware in case you misplace your main PV and you've got to leave on the fly.

Bad idea... the less analogs you have left at the time you start vaping the better and the sooner you will get off them. Resisting the urge to go to analogs at all cost and just vape is the best way.

Depending what analogs you smoked will determine what nic strength you will need. You said you have 24mg nic juice coming so hopefully that should satisfy you and you wont need to turn to an analog.

The biggest reason most people turn back to analogs is they have too low of a nic juice. After that comes mechanical malfunction, not enough supplies, or not having charged battery's ready to go etc.

Hardest part for me was:
1. Waiting for my order to arrive! Damn USPS delayed 3 more days after they showed it out for delivery last Saturday morning and then didn't deliver mail here till after 6pm tonight.
2. The first (second, third...) puffs/hits - cough, cough, cough, cough.... quite the throat hit with vapor vs. Camels/Marlboro's.

Take this with a grain of salt as I have only been vaping for about 1/2 hr. now. :) I've been smoking 1 to 1-1/2 packs a day for 30 yrs though and really need to quit. After lurking for several weeks, watching videos, etc. I jumped in with both feet and got the Sigelei ZMAX in stainless, a couple of Vivi Nova's and some juice (my first vape is Boba's Bounty @ 12mg) This is NOT the E-cig I tried 6 or 7 yrs. ago. I seriously think I can do this, it tastes a WHOLE LOT better than cigarettes and with the amount of vapor and throat hit, it's just like smoking!

Good luck!

It's not an analog, pulling harder does NOTHING good

Take slow inhales, let the PV do the work

So the 'hardest' thing could be as simple as learning to take a puff all over again
old habits are hard to break

I agree with KraKsX.. I am still learning and a big newbie at this.. But the moment I stopped drawing the eCig like an analog..
My vapes had better flavor, and bigger vape.

I only smoked a 1/4 of a pack today.. If you know me, that is un-heard of. I am a heavy heavy analog smoker.

I am getting closer and closer to quitting analogs :D

If you don't get any juices that you like quitting completely right away will be an exercise in frustration. Decide whether or not to buy cigarettes after you feel comfortable with your gear and juice. I didn't even consider the possibility of being able to quit completely right away, or even ever, with vaping. For my first week of vaping I kept cigarettes and lighters placed all over the house so I would not ever find myself in the position of psychologically associating vaping with any sort of deprivation.

Luckily, I preferred vaping to smoking from my first vape, never had any cravings and was able to quit completely immediately. I don't think that is the experience for most people but nearly everyone is able to cut down to a handful of cigarettes a day in fairly short order. However, there are a few people who have taken months or even years to find the gear/juice formula that allows them to give up the last few cigarettes.

It is often said on ECF that you should celebrate the cigarettes you don't smoke and don't fret about the ones you do. Focus on making the vaping experience as pleasurable as possible and quitting completely will come much easier.

A good way to pull(drag) is to imagine you are trying to sip soda up a straw to the top without drinking it. Let the vapor collect in your mouth and then shoot it into your lungs. That's how I smoked (mouth then shoot into lungs) so I only had to get used to a less forceful pull. Using this technique has good effect on the throat hit. Good luck and keep at it!

Yep those first few hits are like learning to smoke all over again  took me a couple hours to get adjusted to vaping. I had to keep reminding myself that I didn't take it so smoothly when I first started analogs either.
