So I started vaping about three years or more ago, it lasted for about a year then I went back to cigerettes. The last setup I had was a carto tank on my silver bullet, and that was fine for the time. Anyway I'm back and it's been a love/hate relationship with hardware. I got an mvp and about a month later the 510 connection crapped out. Then I got an istick and the battery failed. It sucks because it used to be the other way around. The tanks were trash and the hardware was solid. Now I have a nautalis mini and a aerotank v2 and when the hardware plays nice, they rock. It's not like I'm pushing the batteries hard, usally running around 7-8 watts. Now I'm conflicted, the MVP was ok when it worked, never great, but ok. The istick hit like a champ, I thought it was amazing. Sure it only hit hard for the first half of the battery, but still, I'd take some amazing over a lot of boring.
So now I'm kicking it old school till I decide what to do.
Should I get another istick and hope it was a fluke?
Say "screw it" and drop the cash on a vaporshark?
All I want is something that hits like the fully charged istick, is reliable and doesn't cost too much.
Any ideas?

I find that the VS DNA30 battery is a little on the light side. My typical setup is a 1.5ohm coil at about 20W. I always have to plug it in towards the end of the day. The higher the wattage the lower the battery life as well. It is nice because it has usb charging and the form factor can't be beat, very pocketable. I will say that the short battery as well as the pain of dripping all the time (no tanks for me) has led me to order a new device, but I think this will still get some action as a backup.

Everyone wants the vape that they want, and to hell with what anyone else wants, and that's how it should be.
Sure makes it hard to give advice tho'.

There is no shortage of ways to get from Point A to point B, but the hard part is defining point B. So first define what you want, and then the rest becomes a lot easier.

The Silver Bullet is still a great mod. Put an Evolv Kick-2 in it ($45), and it will perform as well as the best there is. (up to 15 watts)
