We know what is in them and can get a list from any reputable e-juice maker. Why not talk about a specific "chemical" that concerns you? That might make for a discussion worth of our time as opposed to the same tired arguments.
I've made no argument; I don't know what is in the liquids. When I look at the ingredients and see many of them simply state "artificial flavorings." The study you reference specifically states that flavored cartridges where not tested.

I'd really like to educate myself enough to have a conversation worthy of your time.

Since you seem to know what "artificial flavorings" are made out of, could you give me a list of what’s in the "artificial flavorings" used by The Perfumer's Apprentice, LorAnn, FlavourArt and the flavors used by Chinese companies.

Thanks,

Artificial flavorings are made by testing natural flavors and recreating them with the same chemicals, just manufactured instead of extracted from the fruit/plant. They are basically identical in the end, but artificial flavors generally are cheaper and less complex. Most, if not all flavoring companies use chemicals that are defined as safe by FEMA (GRAS).

If you look at the FDA report HERE, they claim to have found four carcinogens within e cigs. ( Page 4 )

On the other hand, according to the FDA, cigarettes have over 4,000 chemicals in them with at least 45 known carcinogens in them. Including Polonium-210 (Radon), which is INCREDIBLY dangerous ( and radioactive btw )

To the best of my knowledge, no one says that e cigs are completely safe. But, based on the FDA's own reports, it's a logical conclusion to assume e cigs are "safer" than tobacco cigarettes.

Thanks,

Here is a lab report from USA flavored e-liquid from Totally Wicked's red label line which is manufactured by Dekang

The Nicotine level was found to be : 1.8% (w/w).

The following pages of this report, give a more detailed breakdown of the analysis and details of other
compounds found.

Note: On the following pages the term “LOD” means Limit of Detection, this is the lowest amount of a sample that can be
detected using the technique GC/MS (Gas Chromatography MassSpectrometry).

Screen Method Units LOD Symbol

Tobacco essencial n/a % n/a N <5%
Tobacco leaf oil n/a % n/a N <5%
Nicotine (from tobacco leaf) n/a % n/a N <3%
2,3,5Trimethylpyrazine n/a % n/a N <1%
2,3,5,6Tetramethylpyrazine n/a % n/a N <1%
2,5Dimethylpyrazine n/a % n/a N <1%
2Acetypyrazine n/a % n/a N <1%
2Methyl butyric acid n/a % n/a N <1%
Terp ineol n/a % n/a N <1%
Ethyl maltol n/a % n/a N <1%
Guaiacol n/a % n/a N <1%
Acetyl pyridine n/a % n/a N <2%
Octalactone (gamma) n/a % n/a N <1%
Pure water n/a % n/a N <10%
Propylene Glycol n/a % n/a N <65%
Glycerol n/a % n/a N <20%

Semi Volatile Organic Compounds

Screen Method Units LOD Symbol
Nicotine GC/MS % 0.001 N 1.8
Triethylene Glycol* GC/MS % 0.001 N 0.055
Tetraethylene Glycol* GC/MS % 0.001 N 0.078
Pentaethylene GC/MS % 0.001 N 0.040
This sample was analysed using an Agilent 6890 GC5973 MSD operated in scanning mode from 35450 m/z.

Compounds detected were subjected to a library search with results confirmed by the operator.

There are your lab results, derived from a Gas Chromatograph MassSpectrometer

Are there any of them you would like to discuss? The non-technical names of the ingredients are : PG, VG, Water, Artificial Flavorings, Nicotine
