I've cleaned two new sapphires and both of them don't work the same afterward. I pulled the tube off which inevitable means that the top metal piece will be in the tube. I got it out of the tube and carefully put the wick back through it. I washed out the coil and dry burned it. put it all back together and now I'm just burning my throat. I blow and blow into the thing and if Im lucky get a decent vape once and then back to burning my throat. these worked perfectly before cleaning. the only reason I cleaned them as it gets tot he point where you can barely draw through them anymore as they are so gunked up.

the ce2 wick didn't work very well for me. these are the 2 new ones that I got that worked well for me, the original 4 didn't work worth a dime. so i am hesitant to make any changes. I didn't want to pull it apart at all, all I wanted to do was pull the plastic off so I could dry burn, I tried it with the plastic on the original ones and it heated up and the plastic fell off. I had a long plastic thing stuffed down in the tube against the metal so it would come out in one piece but the new ones are on their pretty tough so I don't see a way to get them apart without the metal separating, that and the two new ones I've taken apart don't seem to lock together like the original ones did.

I disassembled one and cleaned with alcohol then VERY carefully put it back together. it took a little bit of time for the wick to dry before it was usable again. my other one, I flushed with alcohol thoroughly through the airway, then poured hot water through it via syringe extensively. next I let it sit for a day, blew it out, and repeated twice more. taking them apart is a P.I.T.A. so I prefer fluid cleaning. enough alcohol and hot water will eliminate even halo torque 56. havn't killed one yet though.
