I started at 24 mg almost three years ago. I smoked about a pack and a half a day of full-flavor Menthol cigarettes.

When I started vaping, I never had a plan to cut down my nicotine. My reduction was sort of a "I'll buy some 18 mg and see how it goes" kind of thing. Every once in a while I would drop to the next level, and when I started to DIY, I would make some intermediate level liquids (like 16 mg, for example) to try.

Now I vape from 0 to 6 mg, depending on my mood. I find that I still need a little bit of nic from time to time, but I can actually make it with 0 nic all day without any crazy withdrawal or anything else.

I'll probably be at zero nic at some point, but I still don't really have a plan or a timeline.

I started vaping at 6mg/ml which was good for me, but I cut that down to 3mg a couple of months ago. I vape around 5-6 mls per day. Recently, I became ill, and whatever the problem was (still don't know, but I'm better now), nicotine really exacerbated it.

Not wanting to stop vaping, I started using 0 nic, and I didn't like it at all. It's better than not vaping at all, but that's about the best I can say. As I got better, I started using nic again, but only at 1.5 mg/ml, and trust me, after using 0 nic, it's awesome. I may pop back up to 3 mg/ml, but not sure yet.

I think I'll always use some nicotine, even if it's minute amounts. Zero nic really sucks.

I started at 1.8% (18mg/ml) over a year ago. I gradually reduced it to where I'm at now. 0.1% (or 1mg/ml). I do have some zero around that I'll drip, but I've never tried zero in a tank. After I hang out at 0.1% for a month, I'll drop it down to 0.05%. Getting that low is a pain to measure when your base liquid nic is 10%. The goal is zero. I think I'll still vape though.
I am the same as you. Took me almost 2 years to go from 18 to 1mg. I make 300ml of juice at a time so drop 1ml of 10% nic will reduce the juice 1/3mg. Haven't had the nerve to drop it to 2/3mg yet but am working on it. At 1mg, I have enough nic for 15 yrs so not too concerned.

After a 40 year nasty cigarette habit, I threw the cigarettes away and have now been vaping for the last 2 1/2 years.

If there was a way I could get down to vaping 0mg Nic juice, I would just throw my vape gear in the trash.

I just can't see any reason at all to vape [if] someone is not addicted to nicotine.

Zero= what is the point. Anyone (even subohming) using 3mg or less could actually walk away from vaping once they have positively been removed from the inclination of lighting up.
I think you are wrong on this.
I started with 24 mg, went to 5 mg in 2 years (5 ml/day), but recently I changed my style of vaping is doubled my juice consumption. Of course I cut in half my nicotine - to 2.5 mg, but I am sure I still cannot cut it to zero. No way.

I would absolutely agree with this. I'm currently vaping 1.5 mg, and zero nic is like vaping flavored water. Can't do it.

I'm been off cigarettes for almost 3 months now. One week shy of 3 months. I started at 3mg, cut it down to 1.5mg a month or so ago, and have been vaping 0.75mg for a few days now with no issues at all. I'm still using the same amount of liquid I used at 3mg. Which is a lot ... about 30ml/day, but that hasn't changed.
