Well golly, now I can feel totally comfortable about any juice I buy....
Ask questions before purchasing. If a vendor can't or won't give you the answers you need to feel confident about buying their liquids, buy from a different vendor. I'm 100% confident and satisfied with the equipment and methods my preferred juice vendor uses - he lists the ingredients on his website, will freely discuss how he mixes his juice and even where he obtains his ingredients. Basically, he'll tell you anything you want to know short of disclosing his actual recipes.

I don't consider buying e-juice any differently than I do anything else - I do my research and make up my mind that it's what I want before I lay my money down.

I feel very comfortable with the ejuice vendors I buy from....and have been known to take offense at people crying all boutique vendors are "washtub juice makers" and stating "our stuff is made at a nice sanitary factory in china". If I wanted the same ol' mass produced chemical tasting juices I would buy them...LOL

I have heard of members here who have visited vendor labs where juices are made. I can't speak for any of them myself, but I trust it when several confirm a vendor's sanitary processes. If you are worried about that, buy from the larger vendors with enough reputation and revenue to both buy and maintain appropriate equipment and facilities.

In the end it's up to you to do your own due diligence in this. If you have standards that you want to maintain, I'm sure you can find suppliers that will satisfy you. I know they are out there. Industry standards could be completely different in a year or two with possible regulation coming in. But for now you're on your own.

Alternatives: make your own juice, smoke, or give it all up.

Let me ask another question.

Do you ever stop for Fast food?

Fact is, even under the best of conditions you can't be 100% sure someone didn't make a mistake/Have a cold/etc.
I worked in a McDonalds back when they still posted sales numbers in the low millions on their signs. So yes, I know what goes on. 10 years or so ago, I saw a general manager in a high end seafood restaurant trying to kill cockroaches with a knife on one of their food preparation tables.

I like to think that what I don't know won't hurt me. I'm also a believer in what doesn't kill me makes me stronger. :)

I can't say I really had any real concern about what I've been vaping due to the processes involved. I did wonder, and still do about their cleanliness a bit though I'm better off not knowing. I'm also wondering if their restrooms have the standard "employees must wash hand before returning to work." I suppose that if I were to dwell on that I could become quite paranoid about the whole thing, but I don't.
