Just wondering: How many people who are having problems with the smileo's are using V4L juice? I'm beginning to think that is the source of all of the problems, not the smileo's themselves. Something has changed in the formula, at least for the flavors I use, cuz everything I put it in craps out after a days use. I have started adding some non-flavored PG/VG juice, from my local B&M, to the V4L juice and it seems to be helping.

Hmm, interesting thought K9Luvr. I use V4L juices exclusively; New Menthol & Wowboy Peppermint, so I don't think that is the problem. When I get a good one, It works fine.

    To answer Bman1977:

V4L products have been fabulous for me. Over the years, their Customer Support etc has been excellent and I am happy to stick with them while they work through issues like this.
I have tried other brands of batteries, juices etc. I've wasted a lot of money over my vaping time trying out different products and I am just not interested in going through it all again.

My current vaping setup is my vaping nirvana. Dual-mode Zeus + Smileomizer filled with New Menthol or Wowboy Peppermint (for evenings) is perfect for me.

I do agree that this level of failure rate is unacceptable, which is why I have emailed V4L and posted here about it. I'm not a 'fangirl'; if it's bad, it's bad, but I am a loyal V4Ler with good reason. :)

I made this connection back on 7-20-14 In my post titled "V4L Juices causing all the issues with carts and smileomizers"
something changed in the juice formulation.. I used peach from v4l for almost 3 years EXCLUSIVELY! Then all of a sudden it began clogging everything I put it in.
Smileomizers, Kanger bottom coils, dual coils, single coils, Even the re-buildable RDAs I bought. With the re-buildables I could actually see what was going on.
there is a black build up that clogs the holes and adds resistance to the coil. that's why after while you have to hold the fire button down twice as long to get the same type of "drag/hit" you normally would get on a fresh coil, smileomizer, cart etc..
While I agree V4l is a great company, and there customer service is awesome, I personally cant justify paying the retail price for a smileomizer that lasts one day!
I LOVED MY ZUES!! but honestly haven't looked back since I started with re-buildables...

Yes VV, something has definitely changed with the juices I have been using for over 4 years with no problems. Now they are killing everything, but I have started added some non-flavored VG/PG juice I get from my local vape shop and it seems to be helping.

Been watching this thread. Normally I use premium tobacco in a small cigar smileomizer, wow tobacco in a small black one and wowbacco in a large smileomizer. As of late I've had a few problems with the small cigar. Still working, but drawing hard. I always change out at the first of the month rather it needs it or not. I'll put premium tobacco in the large one and swap the other 2 in the smalls and see what happens. The wow premium tobacco seems to work the best in the small black smileomizer i'll put that juice in the small cigar. I've always mixed 4 & 8 to get 6 mg so i'll keep every thing the same. Give me a few weeks.

Edit: I should add that I'm using the Premium Tobacco in the same blend from the same bottles in the dual coil Ego carts with no problems what so ever.

I wish someone (r u listening V4L?) would explain to us what has changed? I have been using V4L products/juices since 2010 and it has only been within the last year that I have started to experience failures with the smileos and tank carts when using V4L juice. BDC, VBC, doesn't matter, they all die within 1-2 days. Something has certainly changed, and not for the better. I'm tired of wasting money on refillables that last for such a short period of time, but I have a boat-load of V4L juice, so I hope someone figures something out soon :(

Okay. Sorry I am just seeing this. I appreciate you all caring enough about our products to post -
This isn't a wide spread problem per our call logs, but based on all your experiences something is definitely going on. Though we haven't changed our formulas.
Give me a day or two - and I will get back to you.

Thanks for your attention to this issue.. it may not be currently a wide spread issue in your call logs currently, but back in July there were quite a few complaints regarding this issue. I have emails from Gabe stating they were aware of an issue and working on it.
As I stated before I loved my zeus, but couldn't justify $8 a piece for a smileomizer that lasted 2 days because it got clogged or the coil failed. I used only v4l juices in the smileomizers. I even tried to move to different coils and carts but continued to have problems which led me to the belief the juices were the culprit.
I really hope to hear that if there was an issue it's been solved. I'd really like to start ordering from V4L again!

I agree, I think something has changed with the juice, despite Steve saying the formula hasn't changed. Something definitely has changed :(

Thanks for your input Steve. If the juice formulas haven't changed, I wonder what has?

In response to my email, V4L are sending me some replacement Smileos, which are hopefully going to be from the new batch. I'm hoping this will solve my problems.

Its only been 3 days since I change out my smileomizers, but it appears my problem was with Traditional Tobacco in a small cigar colored smileomizer. I've put that juice in the large and it's working fine. I would have felt a harder draw by now. And the small smileomizers are all working well. If that's all I have to do I'm fine with it. Need to order more smileomizers next week though. I don't like to get low on supplies.

    Happy Halloween -
I have been talking to the factory and they insisted again that nothing has changed. We did make some upgrade to our last batch of SmileoMizers. Anyone having problems should call our customer service number - tell them you talked to me on the forum - and they will take care of you. If you top them off consistently, without letting them get too low - they are built to last a lot longer than 2X.

Coughnail - don't give up on us. I am all over customer service not the smileos.
    Couple tips -
Are you keeping them filled? They work best when they are kept topped off. On average, the Smileo lasts about 30ml of liquid. 10 or so fills depending on use. Every couple times you vape. Top it off.

Also, the Smileomizers that are being sold currently from the new batch are:
    Small Blue Smileomizers
    Small Magenta Smileomizers
All Colors of Large Smileomizers that are in stock (Blue, Green, Magenta)

We are also expecting a shipment of another new batch of Smileomizers to get here some time next week.

Stay with us. Keep letting us know what we can do for you.

    Vape on.

    Steve

Over the last week I preformed an experiment. I ordered 2 large black smileomizers. I filled 1 with V4L peach and the other with a different brand. After a 24 hr period the smileomizer with V4l Peach started to become hard to draw and eventually failed. I am still using the second smileomozer, it has not failed or become hard to hit.
These new smileomizers came with the ming tips rather than the full size tips I had become accustom to.
At this point, at least I know I can still use the equipment, but not with the V4L brand juice. At least not the batch I have on hand. It really is a shame because I wasted ALOT of money on smileomizers. I was ordering every week, sometimes twice in the same week if smileomizers failed.
I will say customer support has been awesome, they did replace smileomizers when I had issues. But it became an exercise in futility after while.
