Hi to the all my fellow vapers! I was wondering if anyone else has experienced having an increase in infections since starting vaping? I have had a few sinus infections and my brother and dad both have had kindney infections. This is all over a short period of time. We all love vaping and we've all completely quit smoking b/c of it. I'm just getting a little suspicous b/c of all of us having problems with infections.

All 3 of us use the Joye 510, atomizers, and e juice. The juice type varies from homemade menthol to premade camel bought online. Anybody having a similar problem or have any ideas?

My father was recently in the hospital with a ruptured appendix the doctor did not want him smoking and wanted him on oxygen because o2 levels in the blood help with healing. I don't know about pg studies with air quality but I am sure we are inhaling more than would be used to clean the air. Sounds like a conversation for you and your doctor!

Actually, part of the studies done in the 1940's were done by circulating *very large* quantities of PG in the air supply of lab rats over a period of slightly more than a year. Much MUCH more than we vape per day. None of the animals in that study suffered any ill effects.

Bless those rats! I am against testing of ANY products on ANY animals, however, I hope they *at least* added some sweet e-juice to the PG prior to infusing the rats' habitat with vapor!

If you are all experiencing recurring infections you really want to seek help and diagnosis from your family physician. I doubt it's related to vaping, in terms of the vapor you're inhaling, but it's possible if you're handling mouthpieces with unwashed hands or not keeping your drip tips cleaned out that where you put your mouths is harboring bacteria. This has been a nasty season for germs anyway, at least in my experience. My son has had more colds since October than he's had his entire previous eight years of life. The kidney infections are the most worrisome, in my opinion. Definitely want to have that checked by a doctor. Have your dad and brother been taking in more fluids lately? Coffee, iced tea, sodas? Or have they been taking in less fluids, since it's Winter? I know I have to be very diligent about drinking water in the winter months. It's easy in the summer time, when you're hot and get dehydrated more easily, but it sucks trying to consume adequate water when you're simply not thirsty.

Obviously sharing ecigs or ecig carts could be a way to transfer diseases. You should also buy from respected vendors since you are buying something you are putting in your mouth.

And if you ever have an illness that you can reinfect yourself with (like Norwalk gastrointestinal virus, etc) then it would be a good idea to clean the outside of your PV and cart frequently (the best you can without getting cleaner places where in liquids shouldn't go), try not to get any saliva in your cart and swap/clean carts completely more frequently. And practice extra-good hygiene like washing your hands really well after using the bathroom etc.

This is all good info. Thanks for your replies! I think changing tips every morning will probably help b/c before now we were all keeping them for two days a piece. Does anyone have any suggestions on websites with the highest quality ejuice? I've liked Camel from Vaporocity but I would like to get some of yalls tips on quality from your experiences.

tarheel, I highly recommend the Cloudpure Naturals Organic Vapejuice at CloudsofVapor.com. It is a high quality, certified organic juice. I love their Menthol Tobacco. It's the only one of their organic juices that I've tried so far, but I plan to try some of the others. (I'm still new at this.)

I don't know if it's a coincidence or not, but since I started vaping the organic juice, my chronic sinus problems have cleared up. For the first time in years, I can breath easily through my nose without sinus medication!
