Hello all,

I have been using one of my ego-t atomizers with the 100% VG "tobacco" ejuice from Vermont Vapor. I like the flavor a lot, but after rinsing my atomizer with water, blowing out the water and letting it sit for a day, the juice tastes different - like a burnt taste. And after a day of vaping it that way, with alternating degrees of burnt flavor, I started to feel like I had respiratory infection.

I think the respiratory problem could be either 1) tobacco withdrawal, or 2) a reaction to VG, or 3) a reaction to something that is actually burning in the atomizer, perhaps there was some water in the atomizer (?).

I am interested in finding a similar flavor in PG, if anyone can recommend one.

But what about the burnt taste? Anyone else experience that with an atomizer? I rinsed my other atomizer and use the PG "Golden Sahara Elixir" from Janty, and I haven't had any problems or change of taste with this ejuice and atomizer.

The Janty Golden Sahara is a nice flavor, but has a hint of an RY4 taste (to me). I'm not a fan of RY4, at least not the one that I have tried so far, from Janty.

The Tobacco flavor from Vermont Vapor is a really nice flavor for people trying to get a cigarette taste, with a hint of sweetness and good vapor production, but without the "pipe tobacco" taste of "Kentucky Premium" from Vermillion River. For me, it reminds me of the Camel Lights I used to smoke, but better.

Thanks in advance.

The eGo-T atomizers don't really wick well with 100% VG because of the thickness. This could be part of the reason for the burnt taste. Most people use a 70PG/30VG mix and this seems to work well. You should also check to see if the tank is seated correctly. I'm sure other people will have more advice for you. eGo-T isn't really my forte, so I can only advise you on what I've read about them. Try blowing out the atty, too. There could still be some water in it.

Some people report getting a "heavy" feeling in the lungs when vaping 100% VG. It's not that it's a bad thing, but some people don't like it. You could also be going through some withdrawal and your body is probably going through the process of clearing out your lungs.

Try using some PG/VG mixes and see if that helps. I can recommend VaporBomb and Ms. T's Bakery for other places to buy juice, as is Backwoods Brew. Others will probably pop in here and suggest some more for you.

Thanks for the advice. I've been blowing out the attys each time i change a cartridge, and plan on rinsing once a week. I've only been vaping for about a week and a half, so only one rinse so far.

I did blow out the atty that had the burnt taste, and I replaced with a PG juice. So far, I'm getting the same burnt taste. Since I changed the juice, I'm thinking something is causing the atty to taste burnt.

Has anyone had an atty that always produced a burnt taste?

After cleaning my atomizer on my ego-t and letting them dry, i dry hit(no button) till they gargle. I know it gets the wick wet when its flooded, let it sit for a few minutes and it's ready to go. Sometimes it helps to dry hit between puffs when using thick juice, try a strong pull on a full tank and watch the bubbles rise as juice escapes. If you're not getting bubbles then no juice is making it out of the tank.

I think it is because of the washing mathod does not really clean the atomizer. The atomizer becomes dirty mainly due to the juice carbonized into some black carbon clots stick onto the heating coil. I guess your atomizer is not actually cleaned, while the carbon clots on the coil after you steeped it using water just released its burnt flavor. I tried water wash, vinegar wash, cola wash, etc, nothing works. Until I learned the "dry burn" method.

So far as I know, it is the most effective method to clean an atomizer. It will burn out the carbon clots and remove any strange flavor.
