Has anyone noticed besides me

I just noticed it a couple of days ago. When I'm charging my Ego batteries, the light on the charger will blink every 5 seconds or so. But when I'm charging my Riva batteries, the light doesn't blink. It stays solid.

I have 2 of each Ego and Riva and the two chargers that came with the kits. I charge them in pairs, Rivas first then the Egos. Its the same on both chargers.....Egos blink, Rivas don't.

I'm just wondering why. The only difference between them is that the Rivas are rated at 750mah, and the egos are rated at 650mah.

Anyone have any ideas? Both sets of batts work just fine. Trivial I know, but I guess I'm just OCD, LOL. I gotta know why the charger doesn't blink with the Riva batts.

Anyone else out there with Egos and Rivas to compare?

I don't have a eGo so I couldn't say. My Riva doesn't blink when charging. My KR8s do blink.

weird stuff happens with my 510 gear sometimes -- like the light will blink like the battery is out of charge and then a second later it's fine -- or I'll screw the battery into the charger and the light will be green when I know the battery is dead -- unscrew it, screw it back in and the red charging light comes on... weird

That's normal, my Rivas don't blink when charging either. They blink when I first start charging them for a few seconds but that's it.

As for why the Riva don't and the Ego does, don't know, over my head, probably has something to do with the circuitry design. You'd probably get better feedback with that one in the mod section. They aren't the same PV though. They both get recommended frequently to the same people because of them being basically the same performance with with only slight cosmetic differences.

I think the charger and the battery are testing each other to see if the changing is complete..

I notice the same thing on my new eGo batteries. (I don't have any Rivas to compare.) I thought maybe it was just the dirty electricity in my condo....

I think the blinking is normal for the egos. Just wondering if the Rivas have a different circuitry and thats perhaps why the charger doesn't blink.
