I have read so many articles and seen so many kool-aid drinking talking heads recite articles of near truths that I care not to read another. We all know that the success rates are almost impeccable and yet the articles keep coming. We all know that the ingredients within most juices are relatively harmless yet the articles keep coming. We all know that we are doing what the anti-smoking campaigns have been preaching for years and yet the articles keep coming. When will people wake up and stop depending on others to dictate or validate their own personal opinion? Make it, own it and shout it out loud!

What article???

oh I see it was posted. I have read a lot of articles and if people want to post crap on Facebook there is not to much you can do other than post a few good article links on your Facebook lol. It is upsetting for the crap articles to be circulated because ecigs can save a life. But in the end it is up to a person to do more research before they try anything new. Hopefully they find the truth.

But another article on the same site says pretty much the opposite. www. policymic. com/articles/64925/the-truth-about-e-cigarettes

None of us knows what the outcome will be regarding health yet, but most of us do know that e-cigs work to keep us from smoking. For me, that's enough.

Anything that quotes that NYTimes piece is complete hogwash. The NYTimes article mentioned is reminiscent of the old ...... Madness video of the 50's where they drum up misleading and/or patently untrue claims in order to create panic. Nicotine poisoning from retail e-liquids is pretty rare. There has been one death attributed, and that guy injected it as a suicide method. He left a note and everything. Can e-liquid kill? Yes. When you inject it and you are actually TRYING to die. Injecting an air bubble also works. Let's ban air. Much of the info regarding accidental nicotine poisoning via skin contact is in regards to 10% nicotine level. The highest nic level you find in retail juice is 3.6 %, yet these articles site evidence based on the 10% level as if it's common and in every vapers cabinets. Mine is even lower, at 1.8 % and most smokers who smoke a pack a day find happiness at that level. Far lower then 10% for sure. As for children, as a parent of two kids I've proven that I can keep my kids from drinking household cleaners, stick their fingers in electrical sockets, and run out into the middle of busy roads. I think I can keep them from my e-liquids as well, just as I kept them from my cigarettes, lighters, matches, medications, bleach, etc... This isn't the 1950's anymore. I'm surprised that anyone gives these inflammatory and exaggerated pieces any credence. Such BS.

All the negative press piss's me off! I was a hard core smoker and probably would have never quite with out the help of a APV
How can that be a Bad Thing? We need a vehicle to spread the positive news about APV's Maybe a youtube channel so we could post a little video of our success Quitting with the help of an APV

Walking outside can be harmful to our health, which is what some people just don't understand. Sure the vapor may cause the same bronchial effects as smoking a regular cigarette, but has anyone considered what breathing in our own water vapor does to us? We all know our drinking water contains chemicals such as chlorine in order to sterilize it, and I am sure that is unhealthy to breath in, yet it has not been investigated. Our GMO food sources contain carcinogens that are in my opinion much more dangerous than the vapor we use when vaping.

NOTHING in our world, in our society is healthy for us anymore, there is no such thing as healthy....period. Exercise is healthy, but the air we breath while exercising is not. I hate hearing all the stupid negative articles and remarks from people about my vaping being unhealthy, when the very air they breath and have been breathing has been contaminated by chemicals far worse than our vapor.

These negative nannies can all go suck a toe :D

Edited to add- That if parent's are irresponsible enough to leave nicotine based products in easy reach of their children, then that is their own fault. It does NOT make vaping anymore dangerous than leaving prescription medication on your nightstand. These negative articles really strike a nerve with me, because they are so redundant and null in point. They fail to point out any real dangers of vaping.

The article is ridiculous! I can breathe better now, I no longer wheeze! I have more energy! I get really upset when I see articles like these that can't be farther from the truth. The general public reads these articles and equayes vaping with something "bad". I smoked two packs a day for 25 years and since vaping I haven't touched tobacco! Vaping really should be celebrated and not band or bashed like what's happing. For me I know big tobacco has claimed one less soul and I owe it all to vaping! Big tobacco doesn't like that! I personally was giving them 12 dollars a day for 25 years! That's a lot of money! Each person big tobacco looses equals to a substantial amount of money so they don't want to see people susceed. I can't help but wonder if they are really behind all these negative articles.? Even so it's really a shame vaping has gotten such a bad wrap, when it really should be welcomed and celabrated!
