Has anyone seen my throat hit? It seems to have been kidnapped.

Long story short, when I got my Riva 901, the throat hit was decent to excellent. Over the course of a week, it fell off (or I adjusted and can't feel it?). I've cleaned the attys, used both batteries including a new one which was a replacement so I've ruled out attys and batteries. I'm using a variety of e-liquids, all 24mg or above. I'm now using a Boge carto and just like with the attys, I get great vapor production, decent taste but my throat hit remains missing since the 2nd day or so. This makes no sense. If it is a matter of having adjusted, I need to find a way to bring the throat hit back. I will pay the ransom!

Thanks for your input, guys. I'll have to find out about the pga and vodka.

I've experimented w/ PGA.
PGA zero produced a slight TH for a while then numbed my throat resulting in no TH.

Most reliable TH for me is unflavored PG plus nic.

Under performing batt, dirty atty, dirty switch contacts, dirty threads, flooded atty, dirty batt contacts, thick liquid, some flavored liquid are some things that reduce TH.

I feel your pain! I smoked 2 to 2 1/2 packs a day for well over 30 years. Switched to e-cigs almost two years ago.
I tried different flavors, and NO Throat hit after a couple months first trying the e-cig's.
Fast forward. I tried a few menthol blends, still nothing, and terrible taste. I finally tried puresmokers silverleaf menthol. Bam. Too strong, but with out the fake menthol taste of many that I had tried before. Just too much menthol still, so I tried mixing it 50/50 with some good ry4 I have here.

If you can stand a bit of menthol, this has worked for me. Many don't like it at all. But I always did like Salem and a few other menthol cig's. so this works just fine for me. Loads of throat hit!!!

I sort of have mine back now. I don't know how... maybe the new cartos I got were just better than the first one. I've noticed that if my e-cig sits a while (and/or I'm not vaping for a while... say, 30mins minimum) the hit returns. Yet sometimes it just keeps on hitting. My measure of a good th is that you can take "too big" of a drag, such that it is uncomfortable. I want that power.. that's my measuring stick. If I can take a super big drag and it doesn't hurt, fail.

I was there about a half year ago, now unless I'm vaping really hot, like 6 - 7.4v on a 1.25ohm Dual Coil carto in my DCT I'm not really getting a TH. Another option that still works for me @ 3.7 is to use a good heavy menthol. I can get by now though on a really good flavor not even caring about a TH much, I just tune up the voltage when I want a good TH.
