Hey ladies n gents,

I would like to know if any of you have put a mini tube on a 5v glv2, or put a long tube on a mini? How did that work out for you? Does the 5v resistor mess up the mini's output if you put a mini tube on a full sized glv?

I've found out that a 17670 is identical to stacking two 123's, so has anyone tried to use one in their glv? It's 1800mAh so I'd kinda like to see how it works.

Either way you guys may or may not have tried it is useful data for me. I'm still waiting for the glv3 pre-order so I'm looking at possible combinations.

Also, if Jay gets ahold if this thread; is there any official standing on tube-swapping or the 17670 battery? Thanks

Ok.....correct me if I'm wrong please but I am still trying to get a handle on this. I can fix my furnace, change the sideview mirror on my car but I will be damned if I grasp all of this stuff.

I took a look at the 17670 bat. It says it's 3.7. Don't you double that with the 123 because each is 3.7? I'd say confusion sets in but actually it's been here for awhile.

He is saying if you use that batt in a mini with a longer tube you will have a 3.7 that lasts alot longer.I dont know if it will fit though.

You can use a short tube on a 5v and get 3.7 with one batt. That Im pretty sure of.

What she said. The bigger battery would last much longer on the full sized GLV, and could knock a 5v devise down to 3.7 if I wanted to. I just wanted to know if anyone has tried it.

You can swap the Tubes but the 17670 doesn't fit because the Diameter of the Tube is too narrow for the needed 17mm...

That's what I was thinking, Jay makes these with a pretty close tolerance to keep the size down so I don't think it will fit.

Ok, now if I put a longer tube on a mini with two cr123a's, would it be 6v or 7.4v?

That will be 7.4 Volt and a nice Atty-Killer when you start using them...
You can use Li-FePo4 batteries with 3.2 Volt instead, but you will also need a new charger with these.

If you are looking for 3.7 Volt vaping with the long tube, you will need a 3.7 Volt resistored head. Jay is offering this as a replacement part or with a complete "non-mini" GLV2...

Yeah, and when I spoke to him over the phone he also mentioned that I could use a battery spacer on a 5v, but that'd cut the battery life in half. Why I asked, was because I'm looking at the mini glv3, and buying a longer tube is cheaper than buying a shorter tube.

I'm not really interested in having a 3.7v full length GLV, I'm trying to cut some corners here, and it looks like my best option is to buy a 5v full and shell out for the mini tube. Problem w that is that I do not want the friggin 10ml gigantic attachment that comes with the 5v glv3. I'm a short guy and frankly its just way way too big for my hands.

My best option for versatility after reading this, would be to buy a regular 5v, a mini tube, and cut out the glv3 attachment entirely. I don't really need it, it'd just be cool to have. Maybe Jay would be nice enough to put a 5v resistor in a mini glv3 for me and let me buy the long tube. I'll be sure to ask, but he's swamped. We'll see what comes to pass.
