I have a Joye eGo, and though I am happy with it, I get tired of fidgeting wiith atomizers and cartridges. I tried various mods, mostly with good results, but am tired of constantly switching out cartridges throughout the day.

I am a lawyer and constantly going to court and meetings, etc., so dripping isn't usually practical for me, except when I am relaxing at home or working in my office. The new Joye eGo cartomizer sounds perfect, since it purportedly lasts a long time without needing to be changed out or refilled numerous times each day.

I am thinking of getting the cartomizers sold at this link, which seems to be the best price. But I was wondering, do they actually work as represented? I have a syringe I got from Johnson Creek (flexible plastic needle, instead of a metal one). Are the blank cartomizers easy to fill? Do they produce consistent vapor? Is there a lot of wasted liquid when it starts to peter out, or does it use liquid efficiently? In short, are they the answer to my needs?

I've been using them on the road because they're easier to swap out when I'm driving. They work fine, but I'm not sure how long they would last if used on a regular basis. I got 5 for $17.00 at Cignot (look under Joye, then I think it's under eGo specific items).

I use the condom fill method rather than the syringe. You can watch a video demonstration here.

Then I follow it up with the taryn spin to get all the juice down toward the threads (helps prevent accidentally sucking juice). After you've done this once, you can refill all 5 cartos in less than ten minutes. As far as I know, this is the best way to get as much juice in them as possible.

I received a pack of the Mega eGo cartomizers Saturday from Heaven-gifts. I was very satified with the vapor and throat hit. They have a very airy draw, but still provide a nice TH. And of course, they hold almost 2ml of juice making them a great solution for vaping on the go. Unfortunately, the first one I used became very hard to draw on after about a day and a half of use. My assumption is that I ran it completely empty and somehow melted something inside of it. I haven't broken out and refilled a second one and am reserving final judgement until after I've used that one.

As for filling, it is relatively easy, but you will need a syringe to do so. It needs to be inserted into the fill hole with a moderate amount of force even after puncturing with a pin, so your flexible syringe is probably not the best option.

FYI, the cartomizers the OP is referring to are Mega eGo cartos which are a different beast altogether from the typical KR808 or 510 cartomizer. The condom fill method will not work with these. Until someone comes up with a better solution, a syringe is the only way to fill them.

I bought a box because I love cartomizers. These things are fidgety, a hassle to fill, and CAN NOT be cleaned out. The eGo MEGA Cartomizers can definitely NOT be condom filled. There is no condom on them.

I am not sure audio is talking about the same thing. They are filled with a syringe. Specifivally a 16ga syringe. It is the only way.

I gave ALL of mine away at the Suncoast vapers meeting.

Again... Can Not be cleaned. I cut one apart to see what makes them work, and there is ONLY a 16ga hole at each end.

UNLESS you want to try to inject hot water into the hole, and let it drip out the other one for a week.

JD, take a look at these. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Purported to hold 2.5 mL of juice. Mine last me all day. You won't use the cone with these. I prefer the cigar tip. They're somewhat expensive, but not as much as you pay for parking. You want hasstle free, this may be your answer.

My dad uses the Mega cartos, he likes them but has not mentioned how long they last. I purchased the Mega Atomizer and 10 Mega carts from Totally Wicked. The carts last a long time, but I'm having problems with the atty getting flooded. I can get at least four hours out of the cart before having to play with my atty.

Have you looked at getting some Boge(BogeTech?) 510 Cartos? The end cap is easily removed making for simple drip filling and I can usually make it through a 8 1/2 hour day with three of them in my pocket.

I had one of those too. Don't even bother. As someone already said, it needs to be pushed in with a bit of force, and the plastic needle could not handle it. I almost finished filling the first carto before it broke.

I got a pack of 5 from Cignot Saturday and I'm very happy with them. Hubby and I both are using them. They are a PITA to fill, but once filled....hours of vaping pleasure and my batteries are lasting longer now because I don't have to draw as long as I did on regular attys and carts to get the TH and massive vapor cloud that I crave. I think benefits far outweigh the hassle of the fill up. I'm using a 21 gauge syringe I bought at my pharmacy and it's a perfect fit. I was able to get 2.5 ml of liquid inside it. I just hope I get several refills out of them.....time will tell.

What type of juice do you use for yours? I like American Blend from NicotineNirvana.com, which is 40% VG. Thus, the liquid is a bit thick, not watery like most pure PG-based liquids. I'm wondering if this would make it a bad candidate for the mega carto.

or I suppose, if you're really good at straightening paper clips out, that might work.

Nice thing about forums is you pays your money and takes your chances, if somebody else doesn't like it. . .that's their privilege.

...I cut one apart to see what makes them work, and there is ONLY a 16ga hole at each end.

When you cut it apart, was there any filler in there? For me the major draw is not the 2.5ml capacity, but my understanding that they have no filler. If I'm wrong about the filler then I won't even consider trying them.

...Have you looked at getting some Boge(BogeTech?) 510 Cartos? The end cap is easily removed making for simple drip filling and I can usually make it through a 8 1/2 hour day with three of them in my pocket.

I mainly drip, but use Boge cartos on the go, and like em a lot. Data, is removing the cap easier than the condom? I use the condom (w/o Taryn spin) and it takes me about a minute to fully load the cart with 28-29 drops. I also top-off thru the hole in the battery end...as long as you don't block the mouthpiece hole, it just sucks it right in about a drop a second without any mess. btw, the draw is also adjustable to your liking with a screwdriver in the slot at the hole in the threaded end...just turn clockwise to tighten the draw and vice versa (adjust in small increments).

JD, may want to try these Boges, just be sure you fill to capacity on first fill otherwise you WILL burn the filling and ruin the carto. I usually only refill about 3ml and then dump em even if they're working perfectly (filling IS burning inside no matter how much attention you give it...it's only 1.79). An extra one in your briefcase should hold you for a long day in court.

Here are a few cut-away pics. Thanks to Scottbee for posting them.

I ordered two packs of them last night. I'm hoping with the atty at the bottom - vs wire that runs the length - that they will be great. My Boge 510s or any cartos for that matter seem to get stuffy and hard to pull on after about four or five days of vaping. I'm going to experiment with blowing them out with shop compressed air.
