I just picked up an A6S atomizer. It has four holes around the 510 for air flow and also seems to have a squonk hole. Not sure if that is what it's designed for. Has anyone used this that might have tips for a new user of this atomizer?

i have one. it can be used as a bottom-feeder, but you have to drill the cap for an airhole. OR, if you also bought the A6, just swap caps. the A6 is not a bottom-feeder, but the cap is pre-drilled.

i haven't tried rebuilding it yet. whatever coil it came with, i just threw it on a kicked Grand and fiddled with the Kick.

i read about it in this thread- there might be more tips there http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/377836-reo-compatible-rbas.html

Drill the centre pin to use it on a Reo. The squonk hole is just a top to bottom airvent. Use microcoils and you'll have loads of room in there.

drill the A6S? i didn't drill anything. i can't find the dang thing, so i can't tell what you're referring to.

I was thinking along the lines as Mama said. Bore an air hole and let the airflow hole supply the juice with the o ring in place and flow back to the bottle the same way. Just looking to confirm this line of thought.

correct.

i didn't drill anything in the center pin. the original airhole in the center pin worked fine for feeding juice. i think i put Boba's in it, which is 100% VG, so as thick and gunky as you're likely to come across. i don't recall any liquid feed problems. if i can find the dang thing, i'll check it out.

another one i fooled around with is the Vision Eternity. this also comes with airholes in the 510 which can be used to bottom-feed liquid. this one, i didn't bother to drill an airhole, either. (did i mention i have a black belt in laziness and sloth?) this one, i just left a little loose on the Grand and it would get enough air as well as feed liquid. but it's pretty fiddly, so i wouldn't recommend it.

Robert recently announced he'll be selling BF modded IGO-S's, i believe. looking forward to those. i love the rm2 but it's fun to putz around with this other stuff.

I'm confused... If a standard 510 atty or carto will work this way, with air and juice coming up the middle, why wouldn't an rba?

good question. i never tried the A6S that way since i already had the drilled A6 top.

but with the Eternity, if i tightened it down, i got no air at all. i had to loosen it back up 1/2 turn or so to get any air.

dunno why.

Funny how things happen at the same time. I just turned an A6 into a bottom feeder today. This little atty works great on the Reo. Fits an un-milled catch cup and has a really nice compact vape chamber. I used a 1/16" bit on a drill press for the new squonk hole and for opening up the air hole. The post looks like to be chromed brass so I was targeting to off-set the squonk hole 90 degrees to the wire hole to prevent weakness in the post. I first drilled down the post hole to the 510 pin. Then I flip the atty and drilled slightly off center from the 510 pin up to post. I then took a diamond tipped point bit, created a start point at the atty base for optimal drainage and used the 1/16" to finish it off.

(thanks to MamaTried for pointing me over here)

Vape is good but not quite as good as the RM2. For the price well worth it. Don't care for the lack of drainage but easy enough to work around by tilting back for a few seconds before vaping.
Sorry for the fugly phone pix.
