I do. I have to stack adapters because Puresmoker doesn't sell the 401 adapter cap anymore : (
But, even with 2 ( 901->510 then 510-> 401) it's not that tall and vapes just fine. I may break down and get a 510 adapter cap just so I don't have to stack them and just use the 510->401 adapter. lol
On the Protege the 401 is awesome imo. Draw is good, and it's like having a fresh battery for ages.
If you like 401's they rock on the protege. I recommend the combo.

I got lucky and got one of the 401 adapters for my PS PT and Protege. 401 is really not good on the PT, too hot, no flavor. But it's great on the Protege. Have to agree, it's like having the regular battery last forever. Now if the carts were not so stinking little!
I have used volcano/blu attys on my Protege. I put a 901>510 adapter on and the blu/volcano attys fit and vape pretty good. but you need to drip with it for sure. but I have found that at 3.7volts....a 510 atty is the way to go IMO. 901 is great flavor , but, 510 will give a better throat hit. I mostly use a 901 atty on my Protege. but I am thinking about getting the 510 adapter from puresmoker so I can use my $6 adapter on my regular 901 batts for when Im at work.

I personally don't like the 510.
510's = too hot and kills the flavor. I care more for flavor than throat hit.
I was pretty much a 510 only vaper until I found the carts.
I'm going with the Wench on this one. I'm more into the production of good flavor than I am a *reckless* © throat hit and clouds.
Still keep the 510's for those "Gotta have some nic now!" moments.

Steve was nice enough to make me a stainless steel M401 adapter for my protege. Hits much harder than the stock M401 batteries

Yup -- Order a Stainless Protege Adapter (any of the 3) then shoot Casey a ticket, and I will take care of it for you. Just tested one and its working great. Will pop it out of the Aluminum tomorrow and put back in a stainless housing for you

steve, you should offer the m401 adapter again. It is still a fan favorite, and it performs great with a 3.7 protege. It sucks at high voltage, which is why no one bought it with the original USBpass
