Has my ego battery shorted?

Hi guys I have an ego 1100mah battery which is fully charged. When I screw it into my cartomizer though it just flashes 10 or so times like when it's flat.

Has my battery shorted? Is it fixable? Last time I unscrewed it to charge it became very hot at the top end but wouldn't light the button up. Eventually it cooled. I don't have a multimeter or similar

Please help! I'm dyiiiiing for a vape

This is my only one now.... I managed to break my other battery earlier on today (snapped in pocket)

Delivery device as in battery topper / carto / clearo, what you put juice in to vaporize it with the battery's power.
Are you sure the battery is charged? Have you cleaned battery 510/ego connector & the charger where it mates to the battery lately?

Yes just tried different carto, same thing happens. Cleaned everything out aswell

Try turning the battery off then connect it to the charger again, it should go through the normal flashes then the charger light will go red or green.
If it goes green and it still doesn't work without a multimeter to test battery output I don't know what to else to suggest.
