Hi Everybody!

I was curious as to whether your inhalation style has changed since you started vaping.
When I smoked cigarettes, like most folks, I inhaled fully into both lobes of my lungs. I also noticed when I wasn't smoking, that there was still some smoke in my lungs because when I breathed fully out, collapsing my lungs as much as I could, I could see faint wisps of leftover smoke at the very end of the exhale.
When I started vaping I noticed that I no longer inhaled fully into both lobes but inhale only to the base of my throat at most. I guess I like the clouds of vapor that results by not fully inhaling into both lung lobes.
Anyway, I am curious, has your inhalation style/habits changed since you started vaping?

I don't inhale to the lungs as often as I did while smoking.

When I first started vaping I was using a high percentage PG juice. I just didn't like to inhale PG that much.

I found VG to be very easy to inhale and use an all-VG juice now. Still, I don't inhale vapor to the lungs that often. Smoke does a much better job of transferring nicotine to the lungs than vapor. I find that holding the vapor in the mouth and throat and exhaling slowly through the nose is a much more effective way to get nicotine from vapor. So, I just don't see much point to inhaling to the lungs anymore.

i actually had someone laugh at me once because when i did smoke, i rarely ever really "inhaled". the first few days i vaped, i kept trying to take full inhales, and then realized that just pulling it into my mouth slowly, maybe inhaling a little but not trying to fill my lungs..and then exhaling (so, in short, what i'd really always done with my cigarettes anyway) -- not only gave me pleanty of taste and nicotine..but stopped my choking on my own vapor coughs. ;)

which is probably good, since i'm fairly sure that minutes/day, i vape a lot more than i ever smoked.

yes, my "smoking", uhmm vaping has changed a lot. Sometimes I fully inhale (like I did when using cigs), other times only inhale into the base of my throat, and exhale out my nose. Other times, while vaping, I exhale out my nose while still taking vape into my mouth. But I definitely don't take nearly as many drags as with a cig. With a cig, I would probably take 15 drags and put it out. When vaping, maybe 3 or 4 good drags.

Lastly, I guess I never really enjoyed smoking. Just something I "needed" and hence, would finish as quickly as possible, 15 quick puffs and done. With vaping, I really enjoy it, and relax as much as possible.

Basically vape the way I smoked - into the mouth then inhale, I like the hit. The thing I really enjoy about vaping is that when busy I can have a few tokes and get on with the job, rather than taking a ciggie break so I could finish the smoke - in that way it is very different for me. Sooo much better.

just before I quit analogs I was unable to take deep hit of just plain air never mind cigarettes!I started Vaping 6 weeks ago. I was a 40 year smoker 1.5 packs a day tried everything under the sun to get away from analogs. what was most amazing to me was how my body much preferred vaping to smoking. the feel the flavor and the cleanliness of vaping makes it Way more enjoyable than smoking ever was, now I dont have a problem trying to take a big hit now and a then something I never thought I could do again. so as far as styles go some body get me a golf ball and a garden hose! Just KIdding!

I know what you mean... before I quit analogs I could hardly breathe, never mind deeply.
When I tried I would start to cough. I wheezed constantly. I had friends who told me that they could actually hear my breathing due to the wheezing and rattling. I would wake up in the middle of the night coughing and strangling..it was terrible.

Now it is a whole new world for me.
Vaping is the best thing since sliced bread and I found it just in time
Now I can take nice deep breaths and I haven't been able to do that since I was in my late teens. I started smoking when I was 12 and smoked for the next 40 years as well.

I think my style wasn't always consistent when I did smoke. If anything has changed I have softened the inhale and usually don't pull it into my lungs for as long as smoke. With vaping I quickly pull it into my lungs after holding in my mouth to get a good thump and exhale.

I also don't feel I have to exhale as hard much to blow the vapor away like I did with smoke.

I often pull the smoke through my nose as well. No, I'm not vaping with my nose, I hold a mouthful of smoke and very gently push the vapor out of my mouth while I inhale through my nose. I find this especially helps when I'm tasting something new.

I either pull it into my mouth and then do a quick short inhale to my lungs if i want to see a big cloud.
but if i'm not caring about clouds, i usually inhale it a little deeper and hold it in to satisfy more. But at the same time blowing out not a lot of vapor.
And it also depends on how airy my device im using is. for example, if im using my stardust, its a bit more airy than my vivi nova so i inhale that directly to my lungs as i pull. but my nova goes to my mouth then lungs, and hits much harder :)

my vaping style has totally changed. i used to inhale deeply, no screwing around, directly to the lungs. a boss of mine pointed out i seem more relaxed vaping rather than smoking, and when i was smoking it seemed to him as if i was trying to extract everything possible from the cigarette. now i don't really inhale past my throat, and exhale the vapor from my nose and mouth. i had some of a hand-rolled smoke with a tobacco i used to really like, and realized that smoke really burns your sinuses. go figure.
