I have used both and love my protank 2 the best. So much more I have purchased 3 now and no problems with any of them. I would think there is something you are doing or not doing right. You might want to take some of these suggestions and give it another try before you decide to be done with it for good. Good luck!

like my pt2 and pt mini just fine, the minor maintenence involved can be done in under a minute ( unless ofcourse its due for a total cleaning )

Gurgling: blow out the center tube, and keep the tank with juice
Leaking: o rings bad?, and again keep the with juice

Another tip: that drip tip, pull it off, give it a quick wipe out, pop it back on
i perform these simple maintenence routines at work with no problems at all

Brand Names aside, Bottom Coil Tanks Work the same way.
They are Negative Pressure Tanks.
Every joint must be properly sealed to stop air from entering.
Air MUST only enter through the wick , replacing Drawn E-liquid and balancing internal pressure.
ANY air allowed to enter from ANY other seal area will force E-liquid out the wick.

Any defective/worn seal,
A loose center pipe,
A poor pipe to head compression,
A Failed Base Seal,
A crack in any part,
and ANY bottom coil Tank can/will leak.

This includes properly securing the coil head to Base ,Base to Tank and All tank assemblies together.

Puddles vs. Drops
Puddles indicate a serious seal issue
Drops may be nothing more than condensation forming, collecting and working its way out.

I have evods protank protank 2 protank clones and this week got the unitank and never had a problem with any as the others say sometimes just a little in the battery connection but that's mainly after about 3-4 weeks of vaping it I add a piece of 1mm or 2mm silica wick over the top of the coil and found that stop the gurgle but I even do this with my evods to I think you either got a duff one or you got a seal gone some ware I would break it down and check or get in touch with supplier and get them to change it if the are reputable they should do the only other thing I find is it a airy draw and depending what you use it on you can do a little trick to solve that which is cut a piece of a silicone drip tip cover and place it over the threads on your vamo and it lets you alter the air flow when you tighten it down as In picture

i have a PT2 and 3 PT2 mini`s and 2 evods and no leaks with any of them. try taking it apart and clean and inspect all parts for defects. are o-rings damaged? put back together and tighten finger tight snug but do not over tighten. fill it up again and let it sit on a paper towel for an hour and see if it leaks again. i don`t use the evods much because i like to see my juice level and the protanks are much better for seeing inside. post back here with your results. good luck!!!

I guess its normal for the O rings to come off the top and bottom of the tank right?
I just dry it off overnight.. or with compressed air.. and then put the O rings back in..

It sometimes leaks from the bottom of the tank.. or through the coils and onto the battery.

I might consider giving it another shot, I'll do it with some juice I do not like much though.

I have several toppers and I never mess with the O-rings (no need)

coil works in another ?

not only through the coil but there is a sealing o-ring at the bottom of the coil

I'd give it a good looking at and compare it to another...

EVOD mouthpiece will crack from:
- Using the wrong coil/head
- Overtightening the base
because both press "up" on the airtube, which is connected to that mouthpeice from below.
I've killed one or two this way - but now I know!

4 of my 8 EVODs cracked at the base of the mouth piece (not using tank cracker juice - ie bannanna or cinamon)
Where are you leaking at? If you don't want to waste juice fill with water, dry off, wrap in a paper towel and monitor
Have you torn down the PT2 and checked the O-Rings?

I love my PT1, PT2, and PT Clones

I've got Evods, T3's, T3minis, PTank1, PTank1Mini, PTank1.5mini, PTank2Mini, and unopened PTank2.
I like all of em.
Just wanted to say that while I LIKE the ProTank - it IS more "fiddley" than the other devices - there are often little fixes you have to perform before you get them right. Like this poster, having a leaking problem (sounds like a lemon - or a bad O-ring situation). Or like me - I vape pretty hot, so I need to pull out half the flavor wicking or the coil won't get enough juice. ONLY on a ProTank - same coil, voltage and juice will be fine in a ProTank Mini or an EVOD.
