Have a Nemesis? .... What do you think about it?

I just bought a Nemesis clone with a Patriot rda and am impatiently waiting for it to arrive next week. I've seen a few reviews but would like first-hand feedback from anyone who has used them. Are they as good as the authentic mods? They look nice but are they durable?
I also have 4-UltriFire 18650's coming with a battery charger and, 2 Sony 18650's coming because I heard that the UltriFires are dangerous or undependable. What's your thought on this?

General rule of thumb is avoid any Lithium batteries with "-Fire" in the name. I.e. UltraFire or TrustFire...pretty much the lowest quality from what I understand. I'm sure lots of people use them without any issues though.

I have heard that twice now. Now I'm glad I went ahead and bought the extra Sonys ... This is what I bought - 4x 18650 4000mAh 3.7v Li-ion UltraFire BRC Rechargeable Battery + Smart Charger

For mechs, I would stick to the sony's. Use the fire battery in your regulated devices.
But nemesis is a very good clone. It just takes a little bit of learning curve.
Seems like lots of nemmy threads lately.

What is that? Is it like a kick? By the way - Do I need a kick? I understand what they do (variable wattage?), but I am not looking to vape sub-ohm. I do have someone at my local shop that will teach me how to rebuild the coil but what gauge kanthal should I go with if I am only vaping for optimum flavor rather than cloud chasing?

got my copper nemesis and it performs better than my OG NZonics, and JD Tech scorpion. I love my other mechs but I switched my drippers and tanks back and forth to the copper nemesis and there's definately a difference in the vape. I ordered mine from vaperoyalty with the magnets and the magnets are the way to go. The switch is pretty sloppy but the throw is smooth and it fires every time. I'm loving mine!!!

A Kick adds variable wattage to your device. There are clones out there that do voltage instead, but inherently the same concept. Do you need one? No, not really. For mechs, our variable wattage is the coil and how we build it. Lowers ohms means higher watts off a 3.7v battery.

And you don't need a Kick for sub-ohming. In fact a regular Kick will only work down to 1.3 ohms, and the Kick 2 will work down to 0.5 ohms. What you DO need for sub-ohming is a quality battery. Those UltraFire batteries that you got are pretty sketchy. If those Sony batteries you've got are the VTC line then you're good to go. Those are 30 amp batteries, which can handle a high drain load such as sub-ohming.

As for what gauge wire to use, that's really a personal preference. 28 gauge tends to be the easiest to work with, especially if you torch it before wrapping a coil. It's arguable though that ribbon wire produces better flavor and vapor, but it's a pain to work with. Very springy, can't use it in a lot atomizers like the Kayfun because of the smaller posts, etc.

Personally I'd say pick up some 28, 30, and 32 gauge and experiment to see which you like more.

Oh and as far as the mods you got, we'd need to know who manufactured those. Not all clones are created equally. If you want quality mods you generally want to stick with brands like Hcigar and Infinite. There are other clone companies like Tobeco who have good clones (they make one of the best Kayfun clones on the market right now), but not all of their clones are that great.

I did get the VTC so I think I am good on the battery side of things - SONY 18650VTC4 HIGH DRAIN 30A RECHARGEABLE Li-on Battery.....
I'll have to tinker around with the different gauges and see what makes me jump. Thanks for the advice...

This will make your firing switch a lot smoother and better...

Whether to Kick or not, it's up to you...I think if you do search on the forums..there is few debates on whether to kick or not. I don't use it cause took a dump after 3 weeks, Kick 2.

my magnets were packed in a tiny ziploc bag stapled to the invoice. I almost threw them away by accident-wheew!!

That would have sucked!

They are so thin I thought there was only just one. They work flawlessly though!!!

I went with the copper because of the slightly better battery drop numbers, plus I kind of dig the brass and copper mods. I like the patina they develop over time (old like me). I get a full day at work out of my sony 30A batt running at 0.5 ohms. throat hit starts to drop off a bit towards the end of the work day but the vapor and flavor are still there until I get home.
