I'm only about a month into DIY and having a great time experimenting.
As strange as it sounds, vape Wild pushed me over the edge to start my DIY adventure.
If you're not familiar with vape Wild, their flavors are very sweet and highly flavored. In an attempt to clone one of their flavors I missed the mark completely however I have a recipe I will continue to keep on hand.
I would like to hear of others that have had the same experience.

Here's mine:

Slo-Mo Clone 1st attempt

Berries Gone Wild (VW)
6%
surclose
0.25% <-- or less
Watermelon - Flavor West
10%
Whipped Cream (TPA)
4%

PG/VG-ratio: 25/75
Flavor total: 20.25%

I have a few "accidents" made while I was trying to clone Queenside. One of them turned out good enough to make it into regular rotation. I'll post it when I'm back at my computer, if you're interested.
Nice, I like a few of five pawns flavors.
Queenside's profile looked good by my tastes, but wasn't, hopefully yours is.
I'ld like to try it.

Sure. I have Many Recipes that I Started wanting to Clone a Retail e-Liquid. But ended up as Not a Clone, but as a Variant.

Some of them were Better than what I was Trying to Clone.
That is certainly encouraging.
Most of what I've made has been others peoples recipes (as close as I could get) or flavors I figured would go well with each other. This was my first attempt at a clone, maybe more experimenting is in order.

Making an Exact Clone can be Very Difficult.

And sometimes your can get it very, Very, VERY Close, but it just Isn't Exactly the Same. But that Doesn't mean that the close attempts don't taste good.

You will also Learn a Lot about how to use Flavors and Flavor Percentages to Tweak Recipes.

So the Journey is Kinda Its Own Reward.

Ive never found a "perfect" clone. Often times I'll look up clone recipes just to get ideas for new combos to try and then I just go rogue and make my own mix with what Ive got available. I havent bought a store bought juice in over a year either so I dont really have a basis for comparison anymore lol.

With a new flavor I usually Google it look at what percentage other people are using. Sometimes that's good, and other times their recipe will be too strongly flavored or too weak. If enough people say something like 5% to 7% I'll start at 5% and see how it turns out.

Adding flavor is easy. Taking it away requires the addition of unflavored nic mix.

I'm too lax about keeping a notebook on each mix session. There's been times where I realized that I should have recorded the last mix of a flavor and wrote down my thoughts for the next time. Memory doesn't always ring true!

So when you add flavor i'm assuming the juice has already been steeped.
Do you need to re-steep it at all when you do this?

I rarely make anything that tastes exact to the juice I am trying to replicate. In fact, an exact clone isn't even necessarily my goal. I just want something close enough or among the same lines.
But the answer is yes... and then there are some recipes that I'd rather not remember...

Yes, juice has generally been steeped 2 to 4 weeks and still tastes weak before I decide to add flavor. Adding more flavor too soon may lead to over-flavoring followed by having to dilute it with unflavored after steeping.

Once juice is steeped adding flavor may take a couple or three days and periodic shaking to bloom. Several on ECF recommend Seed Steeping. Adding 10% steeped juice cuts the steeping time of a new juice to several days instead of 2 to 4 weeks. Dannyv45, one of our DIY e-juice gurus recommends it highly.

Im new to the forum, and new to DIY. Curious...Did you ever get any closer trying to Clone Slo-Mo ? I am actually trying to do the same thing, and It will be my first attempt at DIY. Supplies should be here Monday or Tuesday. I ordered :

Sweet Watermelon (CAP)
Berry Mix (TFA)
Vanilla Whipped Cream (CAP)
Sweetner (TFA)

Ive also thought about ordering some Cotton Candy to use as a Sweetner...

This is by far my favorite juice, any advice, or tips that you have found trying to clone it would be much appreciated.

I never got it right but it has taught me to use other flavor profiles and recipes as inspiration for creating new juices.
I've been able to achieve a nice variety of my own recipes, enough to keep me happy. I might eventually revisit this one, but for now I'm having too much fun experimenting.

At first, I tried cloning, never got one right, had a few epic fails that got flushed.

Gave up that idea, now I use my cooking instinct, which is really good, as to what flavors work together. Now I get a lot of good juice and that rare awesome juice that I think would sell like hotcakes, if I wanted to sell it but, it's too good to give up a drop of. :)

Please do.
The original recipe I posted has changed a bit, but It's still predominately a watermelon flavor with undertones of berries and cream.
It's definitely not the creamy, sweet, fruity flavor of SLOMO, just incase you use the recipe as a reference.
