Have you used a mini nova rank?

I am still using my mega vivi novas by vision over 2 years later. One of my best purchases ever and I still buy them. I haven't had as good a luck with the mini due to some leaks and they are a bit harder to fill due to the small size. I dryburn and rewick mine all the time. I use the kayfun also. Here is an old video.

That's a great video, but IMO Phil doesn't really show much of the dry burning process. This one goes into more detail and the guy uses a somewhat dirty coil so he has to dry burn it a while. It's not a VVN, but the dry burn process can be done with anything that has silica in it and if it has cotton or rayon you just have to take out the wicks, dry burn the coils alone and put in new wicks afterwards.

The good stuff starts at 11:10. Note that if you keep the PV on too long you'll melt the coil and it's toast. I did that once and then it never happened to me again. Also, you need to keep going until all of the coil is firing red or it's not completely clean. I keep checking the clearo temperature with my fingers and when it becomes too warm to comfortably hold in a snug grip I leave it for a few minutes until it's almost room temperature again.

the Vision Vivi nova kit comes w/3 atomizers....1.8, 2.4, and 2.8.

the aspire clearo comes with one.

Easy decision for me.......vivii novas are easy to rebuild.....I shop the clearance aisles all the time. :)

It's always nice to have old school stuff around when you are running short of $$ you can still vape just fine. :)

When I started vaping Nova wasn't out yet.....then IT became the "next big thing" and many of us quit smoking on ego twists and novas.....so.

I pick up new clearos all the time in the $2 range, that are coil replaceable and rebuildable. :)

At what point do you do it? About how many days of regular vaping can you expect a tank to last? The coil I mean. Also, when cleaning a tank like these, can you just soak them an hour in hot water then let them air dry? Do these need to be completely dry before reusing?

I dry burn when the vape production falls off to the point that I notice it. If you leave it too long it takes a long time to dry burn completely. Do it often and they are easy to clean and last a long time. This applies to any dry burnable device.

Soaking in water will not clean the gunk off the coil, but as you can see in the videos, it is done first to get the stuff that isn't burnt on the coils off. I pat the wicks as dry as possible with a paper towel, assemble it and finish drying the water off the coils with the PV by heating up the coil. Works very well :)

I would check with the B&M first to make sure they can replace the 1.8 with a higher ohm coil. The link she posted shows them on clearance and from my reading most people are using the new bvc coils. May want to check around a bit more. Why not check out the nautilus it has a mini also and has great reviews?

Good idea...I don't need anymore useless tanks I have a basketfull. I just got two of the nautulus mini pro tanks, I love them. They're a little pricey, $24. I thought I might get some extras that are cheaper.
