Flavor preferences are sooo across the board that I don't think anyone could give you a solid true answer, only recommendations.
It's good to buy sample packs from vendors so you don't commit to buying a big bottle of something you don't like. Just look and see what you might want to try and don't be afraid to go outside your comfort zone every now and then. You might find something you really enjoy.

I wouldn't dare try a tobacco flavor. Smoking cigarettes cured me of that. I like fruit, dessert and beverage flavors. Some menthols too. No candy, gum, liquor or nuts. Everyone is different. My wife vapes 99% strawberry anything. It takes time try alot of different juices. I like samplers but not every vendor offers them.

It's all personal preference. I've only been vaping for 2 weeks and I chose not to get any tobacco flavors at all. I ordered a sample pack from a popular vendor to see what I would like best. So far my favorite is the one that tastes like Juicy Fruit gum. I can vape it all day, but I'm not a chain vaper. Another of my tanks is filled with a blueberry muffin concoction, but it tastes a bit medicinal. I would find a vendor that has sample packs and order things that sound good to you.

When I first quit,I used only Tabac flavors. I found Vape Dudes and freaked with all their flavors. Their Buttery nipple is Xcellent. The Red Hot,is a good throat hit and hot. I have been off cigs, for 1yr&7months,I found it best to go with flavors. If you like coffee, their Espresso and the Brunette are really great.

Generally, everyone tries to start off with tobacco since it's the closest flavor associated with smoking. However, if you keep an open mind about vaping in the fact that you're going to have flavors and scents entering and leaving your breathing passages, you might like flavors you've never even thought of vaping.

I went from tobacco to menthol (a natural transition), to fruity menthol, to fruity flavors, and now I'm on decadent dessert/pastry flavors; waffles, blueberry muffin, monkey cream, monkey buns, etc. It's a whole different world. Try something that sounds delicious in your head, and go for it.

I imagine you won't regret it.

I didnt even try tobacco flavors at all. Went straight for fruits, coffee, desert flavors. Coffee was bitter and nasty. I love coffee to drink also LOL. Some fruits were ok. Belgium waffle I liked. Pina colada was very good. Then I ordered a few custom blended to my specs. 1 was bad. 1 was decent. 1 was awesome. So last week or so I have been mixing my own around the ones I liked. Licorice + french vanilla + sweet cream. I love black licorice so im kinda sticking with that right now.

My suggestion. Get some samples of candies and or drinks you like. Maybe some sweet foods you like. You could also try some of the flavored tobacco flavors but from what I hear they are hit and miss big time. I like lots of flavor and always get extra flavor when I order. My taste buds arent all way back yet either sooo take that how you may.

everyones taste is different. As said above. Some spend a long time finding a juice they love. some get lucky and its pretty quick.

I don't do tobacco at all. I started with menthol, I smoked menthols. I tried a couple different tobaccos and just can't do it. My current all day vape is an ecto cooler type with menthol mix. I switch it out from blueberry, peach and red velvet cheesecake. I'm still trying different ones as well. All trial and error. I have given some I didn't like to other vapors I know, like bacon pizza. Actually made my stomach hurt trying that.

I usually don't even clean if it's not a strong flavor. You'll figure out what you can pour on top of. Just empty the juice that's left and refill. If I do clean warm water does fine. do a dry burn. Rinse. Do another dry burn. Fill. Clearos are cheap. It's not gonna last a long time anyway. There are good cleaning videos on youtube.

I'd really like to find some good non tobacco flavors that are smooth and tasty. Most of the ones I like are sugary or contain too much VG content. That means dead cartos in a hurry and I just revert back to juices that are 70% to 80% PG. One of my favorites was Key Lime, but it's a high VG dripper juice that doesn't work well in a carto.

Can some of you recommend fruit, candy, and other non tobacco flavors that aren't carto killers?

I think you're missing out if you don't try other flavors. I have tried a lot of vendors here like HHV and AV and was disappointed. Maybe different for you. So far the most flavorful vapes I've had are from ec-blends. Tastes exactly like what you order. They have pretty much every flavor and are much more professional than other companies it seems like. I don't know about uk suppliers.

If you're Glasgow as in Glasgow in Scotland, I like vapeescape in the UK. They offer samples. I tried their Gourmet Grizwald range and that got me into thinking coconut might be a good idea (I tried cocomel- love the coconut, hate the caramel) so I'm gonna try and DIY some. I have some cherry and some apple juice but I find them quite overpowering at times. I also tried a Marlboro which tasted like the nutty ones in a box of Quality Streets- EPIC! I wish I was more adventurous...I consider adventurous buying melon flavour to DIY with! Lol!x
