Hi all. I have been using the smokefree online type batteries with cartomizers for the past two years with good success. Haven't had a real cig since then. Now I am hooked on ecigs. However, the mall vendors are all gone and I had to switch to purchasing online. I have been waiting over one MONTH for my shipment to arrive and the company, Smokefreeonline.com, which is out of Philly, PA, has been ignoring all my phone calls, messages, and emails. I have my receipt which was paid via credit card. Just curious if anyone has experience with this company? Also do they have another company they can recommend with better customer service and reliability? I think I need to take my business elsewhere. Thanks so much! Layla

I hope that you can get a hold of that company or your money back. If not, maybe dispute the card charges? I don't know but I have never heard of the company you ordered from. I can however tell you that ordering from ANY vendor that advertises here would be a good choice. Can you tell us what you bought? What kind of device, tank and e-liquid?

i have had this kind of experience with another company and i empathize with your situation as i was not able to get a refund with them and had to get my money back through my bank. but don't let this situation discourage you as there are some very reputable companies online, a couple i recommend looking at are v2 ecigs(use google to find this one, link is funky) and volcano ecigs, both great companies with good customer support.

Both are also very expensive. Neither would get my vote.
Independent vape shops are the best when it comes to choice of products and value-for-money. Brand shops are well known for selling the same equipment as other stores only with a bigger price tag.

with not knowing what the op was ordering from the vendor i don't know what to recommend, if he's getting all new tech and liquid then no matter what that's going to be somewhat expensive. also, sometimes for quality, it's going to be a little higher, an unfortunate truth for society nowadays(there are exceptions, though few). and as for independent vape shops, i have had some horrible experiences with them in the past as i have a good number of those in my city(portland, or), they may have variety, but that doesn't mean they sell anything good. best advice i can give anyone is research and find what works for them, those two just happened to work for me so i recommended them and i would be disappointed if someone just blindly ordered something based on a recommendation from a stranger on the internet : )

I would look them up using the BBB website to see if they have other complaints. then leave a message telling them your going to report the incident if you dont get a response. BBB serving Metro Washington DC & Eastern Pennsylvania

also, i have never seen volcano just up selling other peoples equipment, maybe v2 in recent times(haven't bought from them in awhile). and just because they are now a recognizable company doesn't make them any less independent than lesser known vape shops. if you have some proof of the up selling, i would honestly like to see it as i am the seeing is believing type of person.

I do understand. Maybe I should have explained further. When I say "independent vape stores" I mean online shops (maybe even on ECF in the vendors section). The truth is there are many of us that discourage people buying from V2. To explain further would take 5 pages of writing... and you clearly trust them, which is fine, of course.

Holy c...
I checked their site. Their prices... seems they wanna recoup the national debt ( all of it ) from your purchase alone.
Layla Rose, dear, lean on your credit company - hard - and try to get the payment refunded.
For alternate sources, check the many threads here. Don't wanna do any advertising of particular shops or traders, but fortunately, for every price gouger like the outfit you ordered from there are ten vendors that deliver fair value for fair money.
If you're not sure about what to buy or how much to pay for it ( fair price - vendors got to make a living too, so I do not begrudge them a fair profit - but they'll never get a dime from me if they tryin to stiff me )
ask here. Thats what the forum is for and I am sure you'll get a decent ballpark figure on the market price and an idea if it fits your individual needs. Youtube is also a good source - there's plenty of in-depth reviews on pretty much anything...

And I should sue that shop - nearly bit my mouthpiece in half ... 29.95 for 15ml e-juice... whats it made with ? Gold flakes ?

This is what I found on this company. Consumer complaints for Smoke Free, Inc. - Maryland BBB Before you make another purchase look them up on on the BBB site. Save you time weeding through the bad companys. At the top of this page you can find companys indorsed by the ecigforum. I figure you cant go wrong there. Good luck.

as i said in my second reply(sorry about that) i haven't ordered from v2 in a long time so i don't know what they're like nowadays, wouldn't say i trust them but they are the ones responsible for getting me into vaping(nostalgia makes me recommend them, that's all). one thing i'm curious about though, due to your clarification about independent shops, is how would either of those two not count among that category(regardless of price, quality or reputation)? also, like i said before, if someone went and bought something based on a strangers recommendation alone then i would be disappointed : )

Layla Rose, the batteries and cartomizers sold by this company seem to be standard 510 and ego batteries. This is the most common connection type, and you can find replacements at many online vendors for much much cheaper. This company is selling a simple $10 ego battery for $50. I would contact my bank or credit card immediately and dispute the charges, since they are ignoring your attempts to contact them.
Check out the forum suppliers here on ECF, they all have much better pricing and selection. Good luck!
