Hey All,
Im lately having a horrible time with my e-go. I bought it about 7 or 8 months ago and everything was great.. My batteries died about 2 or 3 weeks ago and i found a local guy who sells ecig stuff..Bought 2 replacement ego batteries from him.. probably not genuine joye 650's.. Since then they have been replaced by him 6 times.. He said he got a batch with bad circuit boards and is not getting new ones for a few weeks because of chinese new year..

I just want it to work the way it did when i bought it.. I have tried mega atomizers, lr 510 atomizers,e-go mega cartos...one 901 with adapter..etc...

Just want a good battery and good atties.. Any suggestions..

I saw one of the veteran posters named brad smith ordered a lot of lr 510 atties from alibaba express for like $65.. I wanted to pm him but obviously i cant because i dont have enough posts.. I wanted to know what company he bought them from and if they are actually lr's..

Any help would be appreciated.

Ishybean, you mentioned you were using LR attys on your ego / ego clone batteries, but
you didn't indicate how low they are. It's a possibility if they are under 2.0 ohms they are
frying the MOSFET that is in the ego type batteries.

If you want to go LR a option might be an inexpensive box mod that can handle the power
demands on the battery. Such as : 2xAA Box Mod with slow change LED and red horn switch

Or, if you're using LR attys (2.0 oHms)...get a bigger mAH battery. Most eGo's are 650 mAH, but you can get 900 mAh and higher...

I use the Boge 2.0 LR cartos on my Riva with no problem. The Riva is 750 mAh. I've also used it on my older 650 mAh passthrus (which for me is about 2 mos, LOL) and they work fine. But...I'd still suggest getting a stronger battery.

The mah of a battery won't change the outcome, unless the internal electronics, the MOSFET is different.
If you're trailing a massive mobile home with a sub compact car, a bigger gas tank on the car
won't make it heavy-duty, and the long term outlook for the car is less than stellar.

Yes, get the real deal. There's no shortcuts, don't buy from the guy down the street and don't buy a bunch of super cheap parts from china.

The only really great knock off can be had here for $30 (verifiable): Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510

knock off meaning just this particular product? im a newb to the vape world. so some light would be nice on this subject. if truly is a knock off, then why is liberty flights a good supplier. are all of their products knock offs? why dont they list it if as a knock off if they are so trustworthy. any bad problems with ego-t systems from them> i only ask because if all is good (esp with the ego t) then i am prepared to order 4-6 more kits for friends and fam once their stock is avail. I reallly like the ego-t, although i ordered mine from LF and the tanks leak. (im ordering more juice to eliminate the possibility of it being a juice that is too thin)

please more info on this

cheers :)

There's no shame in knock off if it's a good one. All that means is this:

Janty designed the eGo and is contracted with Joye to manufacture them. Joye sells the product as Joye eGo, but also co-brands the product to several vendors to be sold as that vendors brand (for example Tornado is a genuine Joye product, so is Ovale).

Some companies don't want to pay the licensing fee or else can't afford to buy in mass quantities from Joye or from Janty (must buy in massive qty) so another Chinese manufacturer began making the same product. This is where the Riva model comes from.

Liberty flights doesn't advertise it as a Joye product anywhere in the description, so they are honest. And it is a good product, as good or (some say) better than the Joye manufactured ones. Liberty flights also sells Joye made products, so you know that if it says Joye it is Joye, if it says Riva it's good but it's not a Joye. They do sell the Joye one for $10 more though if you prefer to stay with that manufacturer.

As for leaking tanks, I've heard some reports of leaking tanks regardless of the vendor. I've also heard of dry drags or the atomizer not wicking properly regardless of the vendor. I attribute it to the tank system being a new product and all the bugs aren't worked out yet.... that's why I usually recommend the tank system as an add-on to a standard eGo or Riva kit.

You need to be sure you are clicking on the 20% discount button on the top of the liberty flights home page to get the better price, plus the $30 (actually $29.99) is for the Riva510 lite bundle.

Only problem with Liberty Flights is they are so often out of stock on everything...vapor galaxy has great prices on genuine Joye.

I like to shop around, I think it's too limiting IMO to just use one vendor.

For example:

Liberty flights only has the eGo-T atomizers in pink or green at the moment, so I'd get them elsewhere even if it cost a little more money. On the other hand they sell the eGo passthrough for $20, same one that vapor galaxy is selling for $37... so I end up making a couple of orders (liberty flights shipping is only $2.99, so it's usually worth it to at least check there first) IMO.

They are out of stock because they are usually the cheapest around. I also have been waiting for them to get more stock in. I would like to stay with one vendor for all hardware just in case if there ever is an issue that vendor would be more likely to go out of there way to fix things. I'm not saying other vendors won't but if you build a relationship with a vendor they will always help you out. in my experience anyway...

Rosa-- you seem to be the master at finding deals and coupons! I've read some of your posts in other threads and you always seem to find someone a better deal then they can find.. Me for one appreciate that! Thanks..
