+1 for having a bottle of higher nic juice around. My wife and I started with 24mg and that seemed to work well for us. Only about a month in we went down to 18mg without much trouble. We tried recently to move to 12mg; oddly enough that was really hard for both of us. Back to 18mg for now. We did vape through the 12mg bottles, it was sometimes fine, but sometimes didn't do the trick. We will probably have to have both strengths around and bounce between them until we can settle in at 12mg.

It's 6 hours later and I didn't smoke. Feeling much better now. FYI, I've been vaping 18, but for a couple hours today, I used the 24 I keep for emergencies! I guess it worked. Thanks to all of you for your comments. It is very comforting to know that there are people out there, that I "know" only through ECF, that are pulling for anyone who wants to give up smoking. Anyway, I'm much calmer now, watching Denver kick Oakland all over the field, and have returned to my 18. Again, thanks so much. You all helped a lot with your kind and supportive words.

I took up vaping about a month ago and have been off the sticks for 12 or so days. No problems. But today, the urge to pick up a cig is hitting me hard. I have spent the last two hours chain vaping like crazy, pacing the house, walking around the backyard, etc., but the desire to smoke remains almost overwhelming.

('Scuse me while I take a toot.)

OK, I'm good for another minute or two!

I know it's up to me to kick the habit and I should have known it was too easy up to this point. I'm just hoping this feeling will go away sometime soon.

Time for another vape.

I hit that same wall right about 2 weeks as well. Hang in there, it gets better. I also got a bottle of 24 mg nic (I usually vape 18) and it helped.

If you reach for a cig, no big deal. You may find them nasty. Even if you don't, if it keeps your strength up to keep vaping then that's ok too. Lots of folks still have a few analogs a day their first months of vaping. I'm sure it's been said in reply to your post but it's a great mantra: It's not about the cigs you do smoke, it's about the ones you don't!

Quick prayer for all of us struggling with wanting a stinkie.

Yay! It's a great feeling avoiding the stinkies, isn't it!

It will end. But this is a good time for you to get yourself some high nicotine eliquid (I started with 24mg). It will kill the nicotine cravings so the only part you'll be dealing with is the general cigarette withdrawal.

Was about to suggest the same, you are not alone if you do have cigs still. I've been using smoking and vaping for several months now after 7 weeks cig free and then trying to drop my nic level too much (18-12) and things getting rather stressful at work. Just bought some 24mg nic liquid and hoping that this can help me kick the 5 or 6 a day I've been having.

Good luck, you can do it!
