Having Battery Issues

This is my first post here, but I've been eying through the forums for a few weeks now. I just ordered my first e-cig, the Vapor King, from V4L and I love it. If I wasn't having the problems that I am I'd be entirely off of analogs.

A week ago today I got my starter kit and immediately went to charge my automatic battery up. I left it on with the light already green for a little bit but didn't want to have any issues overcharging considering the batteries already have a partial charge on arrival. Anyways I used it till it died and then charged it up. It worked just fine till I went to charge it after the 2nd time it depleted and since it wont get any kind of charge. The light on the wall charger doesn't even change when I plug it in. All I get out of it is 20 led flashes and no vapor. I've tried charging it with my USB charger but I think that charger doesn't work. It worked once on my other battery, a manual, and now it seems really touchy and the light no longer goes from blue to red, it's just off or red.

It seems I'll have to use the warranty, which doesn't seem to be a hassel after listening to all the great things everyone is saying, with good merit. Any help for a newbie would be appreciated. I don't ever seem to get unlucky with having problems with new electronics, but it happens and I don't think it's because of any sort of substandard quality but just random bad luck.

Not sure if this helps anything but when I plug the battery into the wall charger, the led flashes 3 times on the battery but the charger light stays green.

Yeah, I'm starting to be a believer. I'm glad I did the research and ended up where I did. It's helping me in convincing bystanders to give it a try. The hardest part with not smoking analogs is when I'm drinking. As for talking to Steve, yeah he got back to me right away, which I'm sure is a luxury considering how this business is booming. I'll be ordering more carts so unless anyone knows of a fix I guess I'll just have to wait it out another week.

The worst thing that could happen now is if the FDA keeps up with the bull and makes this illegal. With normally horrendous sinus problems, I can finally breath during allergy season ago due to the lack of analogs. I've gotten one friend to make an order and I'm sure I'll have more.

Are you sure you are putting the battery into the USB charger correctly? You have to really push it in so the prong goes into the battery. It doesn't screw in like the wall charger, you just push it in. (The only reason I mention this is because someone else had this problem with the USB charger because they thought it screwed in like the other one.)

Also, I have a battery that for some reason has to sit on the wall charger while the charger light stays green as if it was already charged, and after a while it turns red. Seems it has to charge a bit to get enough power to tell the charger it is charging or something. Might try putting the battery on for a while and see what happens. Just to see what happens! Would hate for you to have to wait to get your replacements, so may as well try everything! ;)

But yeah, Steve will take care of you!

Are you sure it's the battery that's the problem? There was another post here (can't find it right now) that talked about the charger being the actual problem.

Try taking a q-tip and cleaning the battery contact end of both the charger and your battery. You can try this with your USB charger, too.

Also, you didn't mention which kit you got. But if you have the PCC, try charging that up fully first. Then, after you disconnect it from the charger, put your battery in it to see if it will start charging. If it does, leave it in there for about 5 minutes, and then transfer the battery from the PCC to your wall charger.

Before I converted to the VK, I accidentally let one of my 901 batteries get completely dead. For some reason the wall charger wouldn't kick-start it. But when I put it on the PCC, it charged up enough that the wall charger was then able to finish the job.

Sorry you had this issue, but it happens sometimes, even with a great product.

Just to add my experience, sometimes when I put the battery on the charger, the light will change from green to red for about 2-3 seconds, the right back to green. Also, sometimes it will turn to red, but the battry LED won't do the 4 flashes. Sometimes, nothing seems to happen (no LED change on the charger or flashing from the battery). When this happens, I just screw the battery into the charger, count to five, take it out, count to five, screw it on again, and voila! Maybe this can get you through until you can get a replacement. And as posted before, Steve will take care of you!!
