Got the newerish VV lavatube v2 about a month ago. The switch doesn't seem to be holding up too well. I have to press it just right to get it to fire. I'm betting it won't be too long before the switch is shot.

Anyone else having similar issues?

Not sure if I should try taking it apart and attempt a repair or what.

After a bit of tinkering, I'm thinking it might be more the tank than the switch. Using Vivi Novas - and it seems the contacts are getting pushed up into the... something, I don't know what to call it. Pushed up inside the tank I guess. Anyways, there are known issues with the build quality with the Novas, so I'm hoping it's just that. Perhaps I've been screwing the tanks down too tightly onto the tube, causing the tank contacts to get pushed in.

Sean - you using Vivi Nova tanks also?

I have the problem of my spring loaded center pin on my Lambo pushing up into the center airhole on the post of my Vivi Nova. I tried prying the pin apart to effectively make it a larger diameter...not a good idea. The next time I screwed the VN on the pin pushed down and got stuck in the sleeve that surrounds it. I tried and tried to pry it back up and eventually ended up partially ripping the brass sleeve to free the pin. Got everything more or less restored to original but I'm pretty sure it's just a matter of time until juice leaks down into the electronics. Now I .... the tank on an angle when inserting it into the connection, just enough to catch the pin on the side of the 510 post of the tank then screw down carefully. It's working for now. Fingers crossed. You could try that method.

I'm using a Stardust..... and love it, it's just hard on juice.

Thank you 1,000 times!!! Picked some up at the auto parts store, couple squirts, and it's working like new.

Good news, how did you clean it with contact cleaner did you take it apart? Can you just spray some directly up the tube without harming anything?

Glad that works for you! With that said, a lot of people new to lavatube/vtube have the same problem, and usually they're just not used to the certain way you may have to depress the button. So anyone reading this for guidance in the future, definitely make sure you exhaust that possibility before you start taking your mod apart!

Didn't take anything apart. Just removed the battery. If you look in the tube and hit the switch you can see it in there moving. I just aimed the straw right on top of it and gave it a couple blasts and let dry.
