Hey guys whats going on. Been using my provari 2.5 for 2 weeks now and loving it. Today I had changed the coils and As Im taking a hit or in the process of taking a hit, it is turning off. After like 4 to 5 seconds of pulling its turning off on me. Is this normal? Or what is happening?? Im really confused because this never happened before. Did I do something wrong and how can it be fixed. Thanks guys :confused:

Completely off? Spitting out an error code when it stops firing?

Check the coil with the ohmmeter (Ao on the menu), make sure you're getting a solid, steady reading & the reading is close to what the coil should be.

Stretch the spring in the battery cap a little bit. Make sure it's clean as well.

Make sure these things are all clean & shiny:
* 510 connection (pin & threads)
* battery cap threads (both on the cap & inside the tube)
* ends of the battery
* the pin inside the tube that the top of the battery touches

Glad you got it figured.
In case though - there is also a tendency for new ProVari users to "slip off the button"...the ProVari fire button has to be pressed kind of solid and dead-on, or it'll stop firing. Happened to me a bit, and I didn't realize that's what it was...

That's why mine is in the shop right now... I've had two different ProVari's... One of them I it didn't matter how I pressed the button it always worked... And the one I sent in, sometimes it would only fire if I jammed the button pretty hard. Harder than I felt comfortable with. They agreed to take a look at it, so it's at the doctor... :)

Oh that's different and certainly a repair...
I was talking about the way you really do need to hit the button in the MIDDLE.
LOL

A friend of mine from another forum has broken a couple of their buttons. We were going to submit a petition to ProVape to install a pressure sensor & a special error code, "Stop pressing the button so damn hard, Crazy!"

I've had intermitant fires when my Kayfun wasn't making great connection to the 510.

Unfortunately my Kayfun 3.1 clone won't make contact when the center post on the Kayfun is fully tightened and my "beauty ring" is installed.. So I gotta adjust the center post of the Kayfun a bit. It's a weird balance to adjust the center post down enough to make contact but not so much that it causes my beauty ring to loosen or gap.

Keep track of your AO reading. if it starts reading OP then you have contact issues with the coil.

I think I just have have a bad coil. Not too sure but why it does this this round. But hoping a new coil will do the trick. To me the connection looks fine. Tighten down the coil. And the ohms reading is on point. Just after 10 12 seconds it turns off while hitting. Going to give Provari an email to see what they suggest. Thanks again for the posts and help guys
