Having problem with my first coil.

I have 32g kanthol and I have wrapped alot of wicks tonight and all I have to check the omes is my provari. On everyone I made it reads the code that the omes are to high. So high it says in provaris manual that its over 9.9 omes what am I doing wrong?

What kind of atomizer are you using? How many wraps are you making and what size coils? Pictures would help.

this should help as far as figuring out how much wire to use. # of wraps will vary based on what you wrap it on. Kanthal A1 Wire resistance Chart

Its for a russian 91. I have done everything from 3/4 up to 9/8. And have tried bot with really small coild up like 3mm coils.

Well 32 gauge is pretty small wire. You either may be wrapping it on to big of a drill bit or whatever you used, or wrapped it to many times. I accidentally got 32 gauge wire myself one time so here's what I did to get a 1.4 ohm, I got 2, 8 inch long 32 gauge wires and did the coil twisting method (here's how to build one: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=pPjuJ0ZLxLI). Then I wrapped it 7 times on around a 1/16 drill bit. It was only a single coil but worked awesome, hope this helped!

9.9 can also mean for many mods that a short is detected. make sure the coils aren't touching anything metal. if you are using ss mesh also make sure the mesh is oxidized and not coil isn't digging into the mesh.

E1 error would pop up if it was a short....
Is the Russian making contact with the center of the 510 pin??
Mine came adjusted all the way up, and didn't connect at first.

Defiantly check the pin on the atty. usually it means no connection when it reads that high... It's really high resistance because nothing is connected! I have a smoktech SiD mod, and I had that problem with some cheaper attys... Problem in my case was the Sid pin sitting to low for contact, I don't think that's the problem on the provari, but I wouldn't know because I don't own one!

Finally got it.

I feel exhausted. I did twist the wire and had to wrap it 4 times and still im at like 2.4 but it works.

Also I moved it onto my provari. And cranked up the volts. Cant wait to get some 28 guage and try to make this a bit lower omes.
