Decided to buy a rebuildable tank to try and save money....

I ordered some wire and some wick...

wire: http://www.vape-atomizer-mesh.com/p...-resistance-Wire--03mm-01mm-10metre-2343.html
wick:http://www.vape-atomizer-mesh.com/p...h-Temperature-Glass-Fibre---1-Metre-2411.html

now my problem is, i keep getting dry burns and an aweful taste from it no matter what i try.

ive tried building..
single coil on Aga T2
Dual coil Aga T2
single coil patriot foggy.

When testing the ohms on my coils i do around 4 turns and it will come out at 2.6 ohms

im using a standard 1100mah battery so standard voltage (whatever that is)

ive made atleast 15 coils to test and every single one has been horrible.
Ive tried a blowtorch on the wick and the problem still stuck...

the vape wasn't brilliant it had no throat hit just a burning taste.

What am i doing wrong?

reccomend a better wire and wick?

liquid is 70/30

Sounds like you need to work on your wicking, not too much not too little.

4 wraps hitting 2.6 sounds all sorts of wrong, do you mean .26? In that case use more wraps because you're burning your cotton. If it is 2.6 then check your posts, make sure the screws are snug and your coils aren't overlapping

Now you say that im thinking ive read my volt meter completely wrong, how many turns would i be looking at to get it to around 2.4-2.6ohms, i know its dependent on tightness and such but roughly.

That would depend on wire guage, inner diameter of the coil and as you said how close together the wraps are...

With 30 gauge kanthal wrapping around 2.5 mm screwdriver shaft you would get 2.5 ohms at about 15 wraps... So you see where that might be wrong.

If you're building at .26 I would really suggest trying to get that up to aound 1 - 1.5 ohms at least while you're still learning how to get a pleasurable vape with rebuildables
