Turn it up. On the Itaste vv you have settings for Voltage AND wattage. Make sure your Volts are around 3.6 and the Watts are around 9.0 - 10. The new BVC coils need a little more power to get a good vape. If you still aren't getting vapor turn it up a little more. If you still not getting vapor try a new coil, then different juice, clean the mini to make sure the air holes are not clogged. If you are still not getting vapor try the tank on someone elses mod. Don't give up! Keep trying till you get what you want. The beginning switch to vaping can be expensive and time consuming, and can also have a steep learning curve. Some take to it quicker than others. Be patient and you'll get your perfect vape soon!

Edit: I guess I misunderstood your post, your problem is that the coil is making snaps and pops? That is normal for any coil burning juice.

You are right, if you turn it down you will get less popping, keep the volts around 3.6 and the watts down to about 7 or 8 you should get less popping. I misunderstood your post and thought you were getting small vapor.

It is possible because you can set both and use whichever you want. I think it's best to have them both set and then can switch easily depending on what atomizer you are using.

Yes, it is possible to enter a setting for both values, but only one of those settings will be in effect. This is not what you stated in your earlier posts.
I wasn't trying to single anyone out, but your earlier posts were misleading if you do, indeed, understand that only one setting is relevant at a time.

I can't really say much more than what's already been touched on... But I'll just re-iterate for support... LOL

That noise is not only normal, to me it's a wonderful thing... I call it a "happy atty"... It just means plenty of juice is getting to your coil and you're vaporizing it at a fast rate. Now with that said, as I believe was also pointed out, if you don't like it because it's having some other effect, i.e. juice splattering on your tongue, etc... Then either get a longer drip tip or turn down your voltage or wattage... And yes, as has been pointed out, Ohm's law and Joule's law is ... well... LAW... LOL... A combination of the two gives us the formula P = E^2 / R (Power = Voltage squared divided by resistance) Think of it like Wattage, Voltage and Resistance form a triangle... You can't adjust one angle of a triangle without affecting at least one of the others... The resistance of your coil is fixed... It will not change (without replacing) so you can EITHER change how much wattage you apply, OR how much voltage you apply... But changing either one will automatically CHANGE the other since the resistance can't change...

Wattage just happens to be the easy way to go... To be honest, I'm not even sure what the point of having VV on a device capable of VW is...

But any way... Bottom line is... If it's just the sound that bothers you, don't let it! As the others have said, it's a good thing!

Are you sure you are in Power mode? I ask because the VV can adjust the voltage in 0.1 increments and wattage in 0.5 increments. To me 6.6 sounds more like voltage, and that is little higher than what the VV is capable of in voltage mode. When I used a dual coil setup I turned down the wattage or voltage dependent on the battery I used. What does your screen show, a "U" or "P", the "U" is voltage and the "P" is power/wattage. Also remember you cannot control both at the same time meaning, in Voltage mode the VV will adjust the wattage for you, and in Wattage mode the VV adjusts the voltage accordingly. Many people seem to be confused my this with the VV and MVP, they simply remember your last setting in that mode.

How heavy do you vape, what are your different setups that you've tried and aren't satisfied with? Many helpful people here and you will get a ton of advise.
If you vape a lot you may go through coils frequently, snap crackle and pop is not the worst especially if the flavor comes through and doesn't taste burnt. I look at this way (I mostly use Kanger products) at $1-$3 for a coil per day or two, it is a heck of a lot cheaper than stink sticks. I recently started re-building my Kanger coils and switched to cotton, very happy with what I got going now.

Stick with it, ask for help and vape on!

I meant 6.5 and that is Wattage I'm sure. The voltage on the VV doesn't go higher than 5. I am getting the flavor without a burnt taste, the popping and cracking is just spazzing me out. I keep waiting for it to blow up in my mouth! (yes, I know..dramatic..but I'm new to this :)

I keep hearing about this Kanger..is it better than the Nautilus mini?

Thanks to everyone for all of your feedback!

Me neither. Why allow you to change both settings if you can only use one setting at a time? Does anyone know?

I guess maybe it's a preference thing... Variable voltage devices were around before variable wattage devices were... So I'm guessing when these VW devices came about they wanted to keep the ability to adjust voltage for those who were already familiar with it... So it wasn't so much of a "change" for them... I dunno... Or maybe just simply because they can... LOL...

Hi Lisa!

I skimmed through this thread pretty quickly, but I don't know if anyone asked what ohms are on your atty? When you press the two buttons at the bottom at the same time, you get the resistance of your coil and then it blips to the amount of charge still left on your battery.

I have had a number of "snap, crackle, pops" occur, and have even had a hot sizzle that hit my tongue on more than one occasion.

Rule of thumb for basic settings is resistance of coil plus about 2 volts. Then if you want to, do the backward math to figure out what the power setting should be. In general, I find for about 2ohms, power settings around 8-8.5W works pretty well.

Its the drip tip. Every now and then I get juice in the mouth. Pull the tip...blow it out. Also make sure your upper hardware is tight enough but not to tight. The BVC coil is meant to be ran at higher voltage/wattage. I run mine at a steady 4.7-5.0volts on my vamo and it performs flawlessly on the same coil for a week now. I also use a Vapelyfe drip tip that is dual layer triple gasket specifically for the reason of not getting juice in the mouth and reducing juice build up. Make sure also that your coil is seated tightly as this can cause flooding and or juice uptake through the upper hardware. Its a learning curve.

Zero Cigs for the rest of my life. I vow it, I own it.

I personally have not used or even seen the Nautilus in person. From what I see though it looks very similar to my protank. In my area Kanger is very popular and easy to come by.

OK everyone..thanks for all of the tips, help and reassurance. I have been using it off and on all day, and besides the splatter and the noises its working out pretty well. I did briefly turn the watts up to 8.5 but it got louder and I got nervous and turned it back down to 7.5 watts. This works well for me, now if I can find a juice that I really like to put in there LOL... I have noticed that I feel more satisfied when I have something like banana split, apple pie, etc in my clearomizer. Berry flavors are just not for me, and OF COURSE I've got a Blackberry Pomegranate in the Nautilus.. LOL just trying them out. but now I know.

After hearing me talk about vaping for the last almost 2 weeks my husband has said he would try it as well (2 pack a day smoker). Hopefully he will try it and love vaping as much as I do :)
