Why am I burning up my coils too fast? What can I do about it?

I will be 5 weeks quit tomorrow! But I've been getting frustrated...seem to be going through coils faster. I'm using Aspire tanks with BDC coils (non-Nautilus) and they used to last at least a couple days, now sometimes burn out in the same day. Could it be the VV batteries? I have a spinner 1300 and an itaste clk 1280...have to keep them at 3.8 or they burn out too fast. Is it because I sometimes chain vape? Any suggestions? I'm still pretty new to all this, so don't know what I'm doing wrong. Frustrating - because I love vaping...no desire to go back to analog!

Replacement coils are junk! That's why I bought a R91 and never looked back. I'll never buy another clearamizer and waste my money on replacement heads. You can rebuild them yourself if you want but if you're going to do that, you may as well get a R91 or KFL+ or some other RTA.:2cool:

For me, rebuildables are definitely on the horizon. However, for now, I kinda need to stick with my tanks. I have an obscene amount of money tied up in several "good tanks" that are highly regarded around here.

When I get to an RBA, I know it will make my tank collection about obsolete. Other than my Nautilus mini, which is great for work, when I don't have the time to screw around with dripping. It's a great tank, as well as my Aerotanks and my Protank II. Just wish the stupid coils were more consistent. Anyhow, I need to get my money's worth out of these - since I don't know anyone with any money to sell them to. I'm not one to screw around with ebay or craigslist.

So, in a month or two - I'll get into this RBA thing. Gives me enough time to do my homework. Eventually, I'll graduate to mechs. But that is a long way off. I'm gonna slow down and enjoy the ride for now.

Ok - so I've been quit and vaping for 7 weeks yesterday...and (over $500 later for just that little pile of stuff) think I finally found my happy place.

The Itaste Clk 1280 (lasts two days) with a Nautilus Mini (the adjustable air flow is awesome) - the BVC coils are working! I found out I can also get BVC coils for my non-nautilus tanks... I discovered I can clean my BVC's in the ultrasonic and after they soak up juice real well, they keep going just great (NOT so with the BDC's).

So I have another Clk now in black, and another Nautilus Mini on order...that should keep me going for a while until I get up the nerve to try rebuilding...
:)

(Yah...I'm a 'tailored' type of gal...)
